Every year the royals do something the rest of us do and that’s send out Christmas cards. Also like many people, they have a family photo printed on the card. The family usually releases the images to the public so those of us who aren’t lucky enough to get a card from them can see what they actually look like.

Prior to Kensington Palace officially releasing the Cambridges 2019 Christmas card, it was leaked online after Air Commodore Dawn McCafferty shared a photograph of a card she received from the duke and duchess.

The photo features William, his wife, and their three children– Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis– posing with a vintage motorcycle and sidecar.

The family of five was dressed in all blue and smiled happily for this year’s card.

2018

The Cambridge Christmas card from 2018 is a royal fan favorite and the first to feature Prince Louis, who was born on April 23, 2018.

The family kept things casual as they dressed down and posed together on a tree stump near their Anmer Hall country home in Norfolk.

2018

Another 2018 Christmas card fans absolutely loved was the one of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

It was the first year the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent the holiday together as husband and wife.

The card featured a picture from the evening reception at Frogmore House following their wedding on May 19, 2018.

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles were married on April 9, 2005, and that Christmas chose to use one of their wedding photos as their holiday card.

The picture they decided on was a family photo with the pair, Prince Harry, Prince William, and Camilla’s two children, Laura and Tom.

Of course before Camilla, the Prince of Wales was married to William and Harry’s mother and they also sent out family Christmas cards every year.

This one from 1988 shows the young princes along with their mother and father in happier times.

One year prior, the young princes and their parents posed together on a couch.

William and Harry are both leaning on their dad’s leg as their mom sat close and smiled in a white maxi dress with a green pattern at the top of it.

1965

A royal family Christmas card circa 1965 showed a black-and-white photo of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, and all four of their children.

The image was shared by the family matriarch and patriarch ahead of the holiday that year.
