Manifest Season 2 Episode 11, titled ‘Unaccompanied Minors,’ was a slow burn with themes of redemption, forgiveness, and acceptance. It gave the audience satisfying emotional scenes between characters but held back on resolving mysteries. Hence, fans were left with a lot to ponder heading into the final two episodes of the season. We searched Twitter for the most insightful questions remaining after the episode and rounded them up here.

Will ‘Manifest’ fall into the ‘Lost’ trap?

Some viewers expressed frustration about characters and storylines that have disappeared over the course of the season. Namely, Vance and the Major seem to have been inexplicably erased from the show.

One Manifest fan tweeted, “Where is Vance and what’s going on with the Major? I’m not saying I hate what’s going on in the show. But were these plotlines just abandoned?”

Another user weighed in comparing Manifest to the ABC series, Lost, saying, “What happened to Vance? The Major? Is the X-er storyline officially over? Am I the only one who feels like #Manifest doesn’t answer any of the central plot questions? [It] just creates new ones… I’m starting to get a “Lost-level” frustration vibe from the show!”

Similar to Manifest, the wildly addictive series Lost hooked viewers from 2004 to 2010. But Lost alienated many viewers by introducing more questions than answers. Like Lost, Manifest has presented many mysteries, but it appears that the show may address some of the loose ends before the end of the season.

In Season 2 Episode 12, Saanvi will seek protection from the Major. It is unclear whether the character will actually appear in the episode or pose a threat from a distance. But with any luck, Vance will show up with back-up.

When will NBC release a promo for Season 2 Episode 12?

Viewers can typically expect to see a promo for Manifest immediately following each episode, but ‘Unaccompanied Minors’ does not follow suit. With Season 2 Episode 12 scheduled for March 30, fans are confused as to why NBC would omit the preview.

One tweet read, “A mystery almost as big as #Manifest itself — why was there no promo?”

Other users voiced irritation with the network and show creator like this user who wrote, “How rude @NBCManifest @jeff_rake no promo for next week?? Why did we get end credits like it is on on-demand instead?”

Jeff Rake, the show’s creator and executive producer, tweeted this explanation:

“This just in: network promo people couldn’t cut trailers because studio lot had shut down due to Covid. Which I completely support. So instead of trailer just close your eyes and imagine big feels and some scary s**t.”

Is it the right time for wedding bells?

At the end of the episode, Zeke proposed to Michaela, and she accepted. Could wedding bells be ringing in the next two episodes? Viewers don’t seem convinced that things will go as smoothly as the couple would like. Some are even questioning Zeke’s motives and ability to be a worthy partner.

“I’m confused because Zeke doesn’t wanna cause her any pain but he’s got no issue with intentionally leaving her as a widow? And y’all said Jared was selfish,” observed one fan.

Another viewer noted, “He doesn’t work… so HOW the hell did Zeke buy a ring?”

Still, others are worried about Zeke’s looming Death Date. This fan said, “Zaanvi friendship goals! will Saanvi be able to save Zeke?”

How do the Stone sisters factor in?

The Stone family has been front and center on Manifest, but Olive Stone was noticeably absent in Season 2 Episode 11. The teen was instrumental in helping her Flight 828 loved ones in the previous episode, so it is odd that she would not check in with her family or boyfriend in ‘Unaccompanied Minors.’

A curious fan asked, “Where is Olive tonight??”

Yet, another fan was focused on the other Stone daughter and how she could play into the bigger picture. They pondered, “@NBCManifest Isn’t [it] ironic the baby’s name is Eden? Is it connected to the ‘beginning’ of their callings?”

What’s more, the child’s name is one of many Biblical references woven into the story.

Who are the shadowy figures?

Back in Season 1, Cal drew a family photo that included a shadow behind him. In Season 2, the figure multiplied into three shadows and began to haunt both Cal and Adrian. In Season 2 Episode 11, the shadows appeared to match three new characters who Michaela and Jared arrested on drug charges.

Twitter fans are intrigued, and one Tweet summed up the consensus with, “Well that reveal was very unnerving. Is it connected?”
