‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ star Jennifer Gareis has two college degrees

Gareis was born on August 1, 1970, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Unlike many actors, Gareis didn’t catch the acting bug at an early age. Her main focus was on furthering her education. After graduating high school, she attended Franklin and Marshall College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.

Years later, while working on The Bold and the Beautiful, Gareis enrolled at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. She later graduated from the California college with a Master of Business Administration degree.

She was a beauty pageant contestant

Like many actors, Gareis started on the beauty pageant circuit. In 1992, she competed in Miss Pennsylvania USA and was crowned the runner-up. Luck would be on Gareis’ side when she won the Miss New York USA pageant in 1994. Gareis would later represent New York in the 1994 Miss USA competition but came in sixth place.

Jennifer Gareis started her soap opera career on ‘The Young and the Restless’

These days fans are used to seeing Gareis on The Bold and the Beautiful. However, she started on its sister soap, The Young and the Restless, in 1997. Gareis played Grace Turner, the best friend of Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).

Fans soon realized Grace wasn’t a good friend to Sharon. Grace’s misdeeds include keeping Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) identity from Sharon, then later sleeping with Sharon’s husband, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). After three years of causing heartache, Grace left Genoa City in 2000. However, she made several returns later.

Her most recent return came in 2014 when she revealed Cassie’s twin sister was Mariah Copeland (Grimes).

She’s happily married with children

While Gareis’ soap characters experience bad luck in the romance department, the opposite is true for the actor. She married her longtime boyfriend, Bobby Ghassemieh, in March 2010. Three months after their wedding, Garie gave birth to their son Gavin. In June 2012, the couple welcomed their second child, daughter Sophia.

She then played Arnold Schwarzenegger’s girlfriend in the 2000 action flick The 6th Day. Her other memorable roles include the comedies Miss Congeniality and Boat Trip.

She’s close to her ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ family

With over two decades in the soap opera business, Gareis has made plenty of friends. Although their on-screen friendship ended on The Young and the Restless, Gareis and her former co-star Case are best buds. The two often post Instagram photos of themselves hanging out.
