The Bold and the Beautiful, otherwise known as B&B provides its audience with fascinating plot twists and cliff hangers that keep viewers coming back for more.
The show’s cast ensemble is also a desirable one, with some actors forming their roots in the show while others advance their careers. The recent casting choice by the show has received significant praise. We have the entire scoop about who the newest addition to the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful is. Read on.
The premise of ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’
The Bold and the Beautiful follows the lives of the wealthy Forrester family and their everyday business dealings. The show doesn’t deviate far away from the natural plotline of soap operas of a wealthy family and the scandals, love affairs, and betrayals associated with the family’s wealth.
This exciting show’s central plot revolves around the Forresters’ interactions with the middle-classed family, the Logans. In B&B Brooke, Logan’s eldest daughter regularly gets into conflict with the Forrester family matriarch and head Stephanie.
With the show’s advancement, many actors have had to be recast for one reason or the other. Some left the show while others died and had to be replaced or written off.
Among the show’s four original cast, Katherine Kelly Lang and John McCook are the only ones still on the show. The pair plays Brooke Logan and Eric Forrester, respectively.
The part of Ridge Forrester was recast in 2012 when Ronn Moss announced his departure from the show. Susan Flannery, who played Stephanie Forrester, was written off after announcing her exit soon after. The showrunners decided it would best to kill Flannery’s character citing her long battle with cancer as the cause of death.
One recent cast member has had fans talking for the right reasons. Diamond White is scheduled to play Zoë Buckingham’s sister on the show, and fans couldn’t be more excited. It is worth noting that White was a series regular on the hit show Dear White People, and it would be interesting to see how she fits into her new role.
Who is Diamond White and who did she play on ‘Dear White People’?
Diamond White is an actress and singer who has graced television screens for longer than we care to admit. She has guest-starred in some of Disney’s most prominent shows, such as Sophia the First and The Haunted Hathaways. She also had a recurring role in Phineas and Ferb.
White was a contestant on the X Factor’s second season in 2012, coming in fifth. White does voice work for The Lion Guard, where she plays Fuli, and in Transformers: Rescue Bots, where she plays Frankie Greene. White had a recurring role on Fox’s Empire as Lala.
In Dear White People, White plays Penelope, the daughter of Troy Fairbanks and Coco Conners. Penelope attends Winchester University after being accepted to various Ivy League schools.
Diamond White’s character will be a big deal
According to Deadline White joins the cast as Paris Buckingham, the daughter of Dr. Reese Buckingham, and never-before-seen sister to Zoë. Paris’ arrival is presumably going to cause friction between herself and Zoë.
Many fans assume that the relationship between the two sisters will be a complicated one, which brings even more drama to the show.
White started filming her part for the show on September 18, and her first appearance on The Bold and the Beautiful is set to air on November 2.
