Like many of The Bold and the Beautiful romances, Thorne and Brooke’s was shocking. He found himself attracted to his former sister-in-law and stepmother, who felt the same way. The two began a secret affair later outed by his ex-wife Macy Alexander (Bobbie Eakes). 

When Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) learned of the affair, she confronted Brooke at Big Bear and threatened to kill her. Thorne arrived to stop Stephanie, who had a stroke during the incident. Fearing that the couple’s relationship would kill Stephanie, the Forrester family plotted to break up the pair. 

Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) arranged for Throne to walk in on Ridge pretending to seduce Brooke. A distraught Thorne later ran off and eloped with Macy. However, his love for Brooke was too strong to ignore.

Thorne asked Macy for a divorce, and she agreed. However, after Thorne left, Brooke arrived and ignited Macy’s anger. When Macy tried to leave, Brooke jumped in the car with her, and the women were in a car accident. While Brooke was rescued, Macy was presumed dead.

Their marriage ended because of Ridge Forrester

Thorne and Brooke’s relationship faced more opposition from Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) and Kimberly Fairchild (Ashley Tesoro), Macy’s half-sister. In the plot to break up the couple, Kimberly tries to seduce Thorne. However, their plot failed, and Brooke and Thorne reunited.
