The Bold and the Beautiful generates a lot of buzz with John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) death. Finn’s death was the big, upsetting twist the show has been teasing for weeks. The writers did a great job of riling up fans who are angry about the character’s demise. However, their anger may reach new heights with another plot twist.

Finn may not be Hayes Finnegan’s father on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’

In December 2020, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) discovered she was pregnant with her second child. However, the joyous occasion was mired by Steffy not knowing the baby’s paternity. Steffy was dating Finn but had a drunken one-night stand with her ex-husband Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).

Steffy confessed her betrayal to Finn, who promised to stick by her side. A DNA test revealed Liam was the baby’s father; however, Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) admitted to tampering with the results. Upon learning he was the dad, Finn reunited with Steffy, and their son Hayes Finnegan (Piper Harriot) was born in July 2021.

However, Hayes’ paternity will be questioned thanks to recent events. The writers appear to be pushing for a Steffy and Liam reunion now that Finn’s dead. Many fans believe the reunion will also mean a rewrite of Hayes’ paternity, with Liam being the dad.

The Bold and the Beautiful fans discussed Finn not being Hayes’ dad on a Twitter thread. “Poor Finn about to be erased from B&B history, bet even the paternity of Hayes is altered in coming months, ” wrote one viewer.

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ appears to be erasing Finn from history

The fallout from Finn’s death isn’t going over well with The Bold and the Beautiful fans. After Finn’s shooting, everyone was hysterical worry about him and Steffy. When Finn was declared dead, other characters expressed their condolences. Since then, there’s hardly been a peep about Finn.

There’s been no mention of a funeral or a memorial for the beloved doctor. Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) said she’d be “taking care” of Finn, but the whereabouts of his body is unknown. The lack of respect shown toward Finn’s death angers a lot of viewers.

While Finn was on the show for less than two years, his character made a significant impact on the show. His romance with Steffy made him a fan favorite, and the revelation he’s Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) son garnered more interest. Yet, with Finn gone, the writers want to erase any mention of him. It’s almost as if Finn didn’t exist.

Liam Spencer worms his way back into Steffy Forrester’s life

As expected, The Bold and the Beautiful killed off Finn to make way for a Steffy and Liam reunion. The writers are going full steam ahead with the couple’s reconciliation. As she recovers from the shooting, Liam will be a massive supporter of Steffy. Liam’s kind gesture won’t make his wife, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), happy.
