‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Speculation Is Sheila Really Finn’s Mother?
The Bold and the Beautiful villain Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) loves to create chaos wherever she goes. After a three-year absence, Sheila returned to Los Angeles to once again wreak havoc on The Forresters. Her newest target is daughter-in-law Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). With Steffy married to her son Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), Sheila will become a permanent fixture in the Forresters’ lives. However, The Bold and the Beautiful fans believe the family should be more suspicious of Sheila.
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ fans skeptical about Sheila Carter being Finn’s mother
When Sheila revealed that she was Finn’s biological mother, everyone was skeptical at first. That is until Jack Finnegan (Ted King) confirmed Sheila was telling the truth. Now, Steffy and the Forresters will be watching their backs with Sheila lurking around. Although Sheila’s return has brought excitement to The Bold and the Beautiful, fans are wary of her claims about Finn.
As viewers discovered, Finn is the result of Sheila and Jack’s affair. Sheila is now using their past fling as blackmail to insert herself into Finn’s life. However, fans still aren’t buying that Sheila is Finn’s biological mother. In a Twitter thread, viewers discussed their skepticism about this storyline. “Is she just running a scam, or is this an incredible coincidence?” asked one fan. Meanwhile, another commenter chimed in with, “I’m sorry…wouldn’t a Dr be wanting evidence? A DNA test? He just accepts this strange woman to him, as his biological mother?”
Sheila Carter’s past schemes with children
As soap fans know, Sheila has a history of schemes involving children. On The Young and the Restless, Sheila kidnapped Lauren Fenmore’s (Tracey Bregman) son to pass off as her and Scott Grainger’s (Peter Barton) baby. When the truth was finally revealed, Lauren was reunited with her son, while Sheila faked her death and left Genoa City.
Sheila’s scheming continued on The Bold and the Beautiful. One of her earliest misdeeds was switching the DNA results of Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) to make Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) the dad. During her marriage to Eric Forrester (John McCook), Sheila wanted to have his baby and, at one point, lied about being pregnant.
In 2003, during a showdown with Massimo Marone (Joseph Mascolo), Sheila revealed a baby girl she claims is her and Massimo’s daughter. However, it’s unknown whether the child was really hers and Massimo’s because Sheila disappeared shortly afterward.
Is Sheila Carter lying about being Finn’s birth mother?
Given Sheila’s history of lying, it’s understandable why someone would be skeptical. As viewers noted, there’s been no DNA test to prove she’s actually Finn’s biological mother. It’s possible Sheila could’ve lied to Jack about being pregnant, then gave him another child to adopt. Then upon learning of Finn’s marriage to Steffy decided to use this to her advantage.
Whether Sheila is or isn’t Finn’s real mom remains to be seen. But she’s determined to become part of his life, much to the chagrin of Steffy. Sheila’s going to prove she is the mother and mother-in-law from hell as she plots her next move.
