‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Star Adrienne Frantz Opens Up About Her Miscarriages

The Bold and the Beautiful star Adrienne Frantz is currently expecting her third child. The actor, who played Ambrosia Moore, is married to fellow ex-soap star Scott Bailey. And the couple say that they are soulmates. However, their life hasn’t always been easy.

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ star had two miscarriages

In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, The Bold and the Beautiful star explained that she went through two miscarriages while she and Bailey were trying to conceive. And, as she explained to the outlet, it was difficult to go through.

“Each time was so heartbreaking,” she said. “We wanted to have kids so badly but started to think it wasn’t in the cards.”

Things changed, however, when Frantz and Bailey went to a fertility doctor. After getting fertility treatments, the pair welcomed two children. But that didn’t mean that those pregnancies were easy.

Her pregnancies were difficult

Though her first pregnancy to her daughter, Amelie, was relatively easy, The Bold and the Beautiful star had a difficult pregnancy with her second child.

“When Scott and I first started dating, he would say, ‘I love you so much, I would do anything for you, I would buy anything for you,’ and my response was, ‘I’ll have a lion,’ because I always liked lions,” she said. “[But] after Lion was born, he stopped breathing. His diagnosis was that he didn’t transition well, and I still don’t know what that means. After a few days, he was able to go home.”

And it got worse. After Frantz returned home from the hospital, she had excruciating pain. “Finally, after four days of being in extreme pain, I begged him to do something, so they did some sort of scan and found a bowel obstruction. I had to have emergency surgery and my kidneys had already shut down, plus other organs were shutting down as well. I went into congestive heart failure, and I spent 10 days in ICU,” she said.

Frantz is due in March 2022

Fortunately, Frantz and Bailey overcame the odds, and now, The Bold and the Beautiful star is pregnant for a third time. She has revealed that she’s expecting a boy, whom she named Killian. Little Killian is due in March 2022.

And Frantz is calling the new addition “her miracle baby.” “I feel like he’s already healed me because I went from needing a heart valve replacement to that condition being severe to moderate to mild,” she said to the outlet.

But despite being thrilled about her new addition, Frantz also says she can’t wait to get back to work. While she didn’t reveal if there’s a return to The Bold and the Beautiful in her future, she did enjoy another recent acting gig. “Scott and I appeared on Beyond Salem together [as Miles and Sophie Faversham],” she said. “The cast was great, and we got to play really weird, fun characters. It was an opportunity for us to do something together. Who knows, maybe I’ll come back to B&B one day.”
