If you’re a fan of The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless, Pluto TV has a very special treat for you. Right now, you’re able to watch so-called “classic” episodes of these soaps on the free TV app. The CBS-owned service also says you’ll be able to watch episodes of more soap operas soon.
‘The Bold and the Beautiful,’ ‘The Young and the Restless’ are on Pluto TV
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pluto TV has just launched its Soaps channel, which features classic episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.
But “classic” doesn’t mean from the 1980s or before. Rather, Pluto TV says the episodes of the beloved soaps are from seasons 47 and 48 of Y&R and season 32 and beyond of B&B. That means these episodes go back to about 2018.
“Fans of Gina Tognoni as Phyllis Summers and Daniel Goddard as Cane Ashby will be especially pleased to watch these episodes,” Soap Opera Digest reports about The Young and the Restless. “Additionally, Marla Adams appeared as Dina Abbott Mergeron during this era as part of the show’s Alzheimer’s storyline.”
For fans of The Bold and the Beautiful, Soap Opera Digest confirms that they’ll be able to see such classic characters as Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Thorne Forrester (Ingo Rademacher, now appearing as Jax on General Hospital).
Pluto TV is owned by CBS’ parent company
If you don’t have a cable subscription but are still interested in seeing your favorite soaps, Pluto TV has you covered. In addition to the “classic” episodes, “viewers will be able to watch newer episodes of both ‘B&B’ and ‘Y&R’ as part of its OnDemand service,” according to Soap Opera Digest.
Pluto TV is owned by CBS’ parent company. It’s unclear whether this has anything to do with its offerings on the Soaps channel, however. But those who are interested in watching The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful can do so on Pluto TV’s channel 146.
More soaps will be coming soon
Right now, only The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless are available on the Soaps channel. A representative for Pluto TV told Soap Opera Digest that other soap operas will soon be available on the channel, as well. While the representative didn’t make clear what those soaps will be, it could be anything from Days of Our Lives and General Hospital to true classics like All My Children.
Pluto TV can be downloaded to streaming devices, including Chromecast, Apple TV, and Roku.
