Amazon Prime’s superhero series The Boys is currently airing its third season. Based on the Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson comic book of the same name, the show revolves around a group of vigilantes who combat superheroes or “supes” who abuse their powers. Season 3 picks up a year after the world learned of Stormfront’s white supremacy ties, with Homelander forced to apologize publicly, insisting he only “fell in love with the wrong woman.” Halfway through the season, it was revealed that the critically acclaimed drama would return for a season 4. The official Twitter account uploaded a post announcing the news, and many fans noticed that one favorite character was notably missing.

Many fans think they spot a spoiler from the official ‘The Boys’ post announcing Season 4

On the same day as The Boys Season 3 Episode 5 release date, it was revealed that the Amazon superhero series would return for a fourth season.

The official Twitter account announced the news with pictures of main characters Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), Hughie Campbell Jr. (Jack Quaid), Homelander (Antony Starr), Starlight (Erin Moriarty), Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), The Deep (Chace Crawford), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), and Victoria Neuman (Claudi Doumit) holding up the number four with their hands.

The caption teased, “We’re comin’ back for Season 4. Til then, here’s a lil’ fourshadowing.” Many fans quickly noticed that The Boys member Frenchie (Tomer Capone) was missing from the post.

Therefore, some assumed the worst; that Frenchie won’t make it to season 4.

Some Reddit users think Frenchie might die from Temporary V

One Reddit user pointed out his conversation with Kimiko when she encouraged them to leave Butcher and The Boys and go to his hometown of Marseille.

He promised they would after “one more job,” which the fan called “cliche,” believing it’s too apparent that Frenchie would die during the last task.

Others noted the addition of Temporary V and think someone will become “collateral damage” from the uncontrollable powers.

Due to the side effects not completely being worked out and the possibility that anyone can get any ability, one user pointed out that something is bound “to go wrong,” and they view Frenchie as “the most expendable at the moment.”

Other viewers think the Twitter post is ‘mega bait’

Others noted they aren’t going to “read too much into a social media post,” pointing out that Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), publicist Ashley (Colby Minifie), and CEO Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito) were also notably missing from the picture.

Another claimed that “certain actors” aren’t heavily promoting the show, including Frenchie’s actor Tomer Capone, but noticed “these nine have been quite active.”

One called the Twitter post “mega bait,” pointing out it would fall in line with the show’s theme. While it’s unclear what will happen to Frenchie, it’s clear that many viewers enjoy Sergei and don’t want him going out anytime soon.

“If Frenchie goes, we riot!” A Reddit user posted. Another called him “my favorite character” and isn’t ready for anything to happen to him. New episodes of The Boys premiere Fridays on Amazon Prime.
