‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’: Anthony Mackie Says Wyatt Russell ‘Lives in a Constant State of Confusion’
Every time Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan do press together for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, it is utter chaos. While participating in a Q&A for IMDb, Stan and Mackie bonded over their love of Prince and making fun of Wyatt Russell.
In The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Russell plays John Walker. According to Mackie, Russell “lives in a constant state of confusion,” and Stan agreed with Mackie.

On March 19, Mackie and Stan answered fans’ questions for a Q&A interview hosted by IMDb. When asked about their favorite memories from the set of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the actors brought up Russell.
“… probably anytime Wyatt Russell came to set going ‘What is happening?'” Stan answered.
Mackie followed up with, “Wyatt lives in a constant state of confusion which is really beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.”
Stan agreed and shared one of his first interactions with Russell before shooting began for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
“That interview that we did back at D23 in 2019 when Anthony just relentlessly kept telling me to take my shirt off, and I remember after that Wyatt texted me going like ‘Dude, he was really serious about that,'” Stan said.
Stan continued, “He was like, ‘You guys are crazy,’ and I go, ‘Yep, just wait until we start shooting.'”

Toward the beginning of the Q&A with IMDb, Stan and Mackie were asked about their favorite celebrities. Mackie shared that he loves seeing Lionel Richie perform while Stan said he wishes he could have seen David Bowie or Prince perform live.
This led Mackie to reveal that he once tried to crash Prince’s house party.
“I tried to sneak into Prince’s house. He was having a party,” Mackie said. “Prince was having a house party in LA, and his house is a gated house within a gated community. I got in Sanaa Lathan’s trunk to try and sneak into Prince’s house… and his security pulled me.”
This story left Stan in shock, as he had apparently never heard it before.
“Anthony, they’re not even paying you for these headlines,” he told Mackie.
‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ actors want the same superpower
While Mackie constantly jokes with Stan about how little they have in common due to Stan’s introverted nature, the two actors actually want the same superpower. When asked what superpower they would want in real life, both actors from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier answered teleportation.
“If we could have one superpower, it would be teleportation,” Stan answered.
“Teleportation,” Mackie said. “He stole my answer… If you’re somewhere you don’t want to be, say like a date, you can just disappear and never see that person again.”
“I’m not going on a date with you, that’s for sure,” Stan replied.
Based on the IMDb Q&A, it is clear why Russell found spending time with Mackie and Stan together to be chaotic.
