Here’s a rundown of ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ episode featuring President Donald Trump

The episode dates back to 1994, when the show was in its fourth season. Dubbed “For Sale by Owner,” the plot is anchored on a mysterious bidder and the lucrative offer he makes for the Banks family home.

That person turns out to be Trump, who shows up at the end of the episode along with his then-wife Marla Maples in preparation to finalize the deal. But the sale never materializes, as Trump’s real estate agent learns the house isn’t the childhood home Trump had been searching for.

If you notice from the clip above, Trump shook hands with everyone at the door except for Daphne Maxwell Reid, who played Aunt Viv. That’s because she apparently wasn’t fond of the real estate mogul in real life and, therefore, didn’t care to make acquaintance.

Reid made this revelation in a November appearance on the You Might Know Her From podcast. The topic came up around the 38:00 mark when host Anne Rodeman noted: “He who shall not be named had a guest spot on season 4. He and Marla were going to buy the Banks house. And upon re-watching this episode, I noticed that Phil shook his hand but Viv did not can you please explain that choice?”

Reid replied: “I didn’t like him. I had news from New York. I knew who he was.”

“It was so wonderful. I was like, ‘Is she going to?’ Oh, she’s not going to [shake his hand]. And when he leaves, you’re like ready to kick his a**. It was so good,” Rodeman continued, to which Reid said: “Yeah! And it was so true.”

Past reports say that President Donald Trump annoyed other staffers on the show, too

Reid isn’t the only one who didn’t care for the now-commander-in-chief. As it turns out, according to Screen Rant, crew members also previously claimed that Trump was a “huge diva backstage.

One person recalled Trump allegedly getting annoyed over something during filming and throwing his script on the floor.

“It was such a really rude thing, the way he did it. So terrible. So disrespectful… He just wasn’t pleasant,” said an anonymous staffer.

Producer Gary H. Miller also said Trump complained about his lines, leading him to say, “With all due respect, I would never think of giving you any advice about real estate because I don’t know about real estate. But I do know comedy – and trust me, you’ll get a laugh.”

As of writing, it doesn’t appear that Trump has ever addressed the comments about his cameo on the show.
