For four seasons, The Good Place delivered warm and fuzzy comedy with a sharp edge. On the show, the kooky eternal Void where Janet hung her hat was groovy. But in real life, when the show ended, it left a real void for fans who miss their favorite demons, immortals, and souls. The Good Place may have returned its essence to the universe, but the actors who brought the show to life have a few new projects cooking. Here’s a peek at what’s to come for a few of The Good Place fan-favorites.

D’Arcy Carden as ‘Janet’

On The Good Place, D’Arcy Carden portrayed everyone’s favorite ‘Not a Girl,’ Janet. As the omniscient source of all information in the universe, Janet guided recently deceased humans navigating the afterlife. Over the course of the show and countless reboots, Janet evolved into a being capable of meaningful relationships.

The Good Place was the show that made Carden a household name, but comedy-lovers will remember her from a slew of projects, including Gay of Thrones and Comedy Bang! Bang! Next, fans can look forward to watching Carden in the comedy reboot of A League of Their Own. The title is inspired by the true story of the World War II-era All-American Girls Professional Baseball League.

Jameela Jamil as ‘Tahani Al-Jamil’

Although she was a newcomer to television, Jameela Jamil owned the role of Tahani Al-Jamil on The Good Place. Tahani, along with three other mortals, landed in what she thought was paradise after death. It wasn’t long before she realized that Michael, the architect of her otherworldly neighborhood, was a demon intent on torturing her. As the plot unfolded, the formerly self-centered socialite gained compassion and became a character fans could get behind. And After earning her way into the real Good Place, Tahani found purpose.

It appears that Jamil has also found direction as an entertainer. Now that The Good Place is over, the DJ, model, and television presenter has several voice-acting gigs simmering. Her distinctive voice can be heard in series, including DuckTales and Jurassic World: Cretaceous. Fans can also spot Jamil as the host of the reality competition series, The Misery Index.

Manny Jacinto as ‘Jason Mendoza’

‘The Good Place’: Which Star Has the Highest Net Worth?

On The Good Place, Manny Jacinto portrayed Jason Mendoza as lovable, simple, and often misguided. On Earth, Jason was passionate about the Jacksonville Jaguars, Blake Bortles, and explosives. He also had a habit of forming bad heist plans, which is what cut his life short and landed him in The Bad Place. By the end of the series, Jason had gained insight, earned a spot in the real Good Place, and ultimately returned his essence to the universe.

Although Jason is gone, Jacinto is here to stay. The actor, who previously appeared in such shows as Once Upon a Time and The 100, has even more high-profile gigs on the horizon. Coming to Hulu in 2021, fans can check out Jacinto in the limited series Nine Perfect Strangers. He also has a juicy part in the feature film sequel, Top Gun: Maverick, opposite Tom Cruise. And the star is currently filming the horror-thriller, Brand New Cherry Flavor.

Even though the stars of The Good Place have moved on to new gigs, fans can still revisit the series, which is now streaming on Netflix.
