‘The Kardashians’ Episode 3: ‘Live From New York’ Recap
Now that Hulu’s ushered in the return of The Kardashians, it’s time to grace readers with the recap of episode 3, “Live From New York.” In “Live From New York,” viewers watch as Kim hosts Saturday Night Live, Kanye surprises Kim with a special delivery from Los Angeles, and the rest of the family helps Travis Barker prepare to propose to Kourtney.
Kim Kardashian’s sex tape woes come to an end in ‘Live From New York’
In the first two episodes of The Kardashians, Kim learned a manager of her ex-boyfriend, Ray J., was threatening to publish unreleased footage of her sex tape. She called her lawyers, and they immediately began working on stopping that from happening. However, it was her ex-husband Kanye West who saved the day. He surprised Kim before she went on to host Saturday Night Live when he showed up directly from LA with the sex tape. Instead of immediately deleting all evidence of the sex tape so they wouldn’t need to worry about this type of extortion anymore, Kim, Kanye, Kris, and various assistants joined hands as Khloé said a prayer thanking Jesus for all the blessings bestowed upon them.
Kris Jenner forces everyone to look at the apartment building she once lived in
While Kim continued to prepare for her big night in “Live From New York,” Kris forced Khloé and Corey to take a walk down memory lane with her. Khloé runs into her “glam squad” early in their walk and dips out early. She can’t take any more of her mom reminiscing.
Kris explains to the cameras, “I walked the streets of New York 45 years ago. I went to flight attendant school and then they assigned me to New York. Robert [Kardashian] and OJ [Simpson] met me at the airport because they had just flown in from Montreal where they watched Bruce Jenner win the gold medal.”
Finally, Kris and Corey arrive at the apartment building where she once lived. They took a quick look at the building and then headed back to get ready for Saturday Night Live.

If something happens with one of Kris Jenner’s daughters and cameras are around, you can guarantee she’ll be there. That’s why the entire family is involved in Travis’ proposal to Kourtney in “Live From New York.”. (Well, that and he asked for their help.) Things go according to plan until Kris learns that Kourtney’s doctors scheduled her to have her egg retrieval done the same day Travis wants to propose.
Thankfully, Travis calls moments later to tell Kris and Khloé that the doctors rescheduled the procedure. Now, he can propose to Kourtney on their anniversary just like he planned. Kris makes sure everyone knows the plan, and the family assembles. Everyone drives to Calabassas to surprise Kourtney after Travis pops the question. But will Kourtney and Travis spot Kylie and Kendall in Kylie’s Rolls Royce on the drive down? Tune in next week to see how it all plays out!
