‘The Morning Show’ Season 2 Episode 2: Bradley Jackson and Alex Levy aren’t on good terms
Alex and Bradley are in the same place as when they started season 2, on the outs. In “It’s Like the Flu,” they have a chilly reunion at a dinner party hosted by Billy Crudup’s Cory Ellison. Although they have what might look to be a friendly hug there’s a lot of tension brewing.
Eventually, the drama comes to a head. Bradley confronts Alex as she’s leaving the party and informs her she’s going to go “toe-to-toe” with her when they start working together again. They’re not friends but “equals” who will battle it out for screen time.
‘The Morning Show’ has everyone at the network discussing coronavirus
Following the events of the season 2 premiere, the Sept. 24 episode of The Morning Show has rumblings about COVID-19. Mia Jordan (Karen Pittman) has a brief discussion with a co-worker about whether or not they should cover it on the show. Remember, at this point in the Apple original series, it’s still early January 2020.
Then the topic comes up again at Cory’s dinner party. The anchors have a short discussion about COVID-19 coverage. Yanko Flores (Nestor Carbonell) wonders if they should cover people getting sick thousands of miles away. Daniel Henderson (Desean Terry) says they should give it airtime, suggesting someone on staff should go overseas to report on the story. Bradley agrees and, later, Daniel finds himself on a plane to China.

Alex Levy offers Chip Black his old job and he accepts
In one of the last few scenes of the Sept. 24 episode, Alex heads to the suburbs to see Chip Black (Mark Duplass). She rings the doorbell and Chip answers. Then Alex asks him if he’ll come back to UBA as her executive producer. After a short pause where he glances at his fiancée, Chip asks Alex, “When do I start?”
