The episode showed the concerts’ rehearsals

Love Yourself: Speak Yourself [The Final] took place in Seoul on Oct. 26, Oct. 27, and Oct. 29. The final series of concerts marked the end of BTS’s Love Yourself era and the beginning of their Map of the Soul era. The new BTS episode showed behind-the-scenes rehearsals from each day.

For the final concerts, the BTS members recorded new VCRs to be played in between the sets. The setlist also changed to include “Run,” the lead single from their 2015 EP, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2. “Idol” was moved to be the last song before the encore, following the momentum of “Outro: Tear” and “Mic Drop.”

The BTS Episode showed the rehearsals that made those changes seem as flawless as possible. At one point, Suga made everyone crack up by running down the extended stage. After all of their rehearsals, the BTS members were excited but nervous for the concerts.

“I think I always feel this way,” Jimin said as he walked to the stage for the first concert. “I get more nervous when I perform in Korea.”

The BTS members performed some songs for the last time

For BTS and ARMY, Love Yourself: Speak Yourself [The Final] was bittersweet. With their Love Yourself albums, BTS encouraged ARMY to love themselves and brought them comfort and encouragement. Throughout the era, the BTS members also learned to love themselves. The final concerts were a celebration of that, but were also an ending.

“I feel bittersweet ’cause that was my last ‘Just Dance’ stage,” J-Hope said after his solo. “I don’t think I’ll have chance to do it again… It feels like I’m saying goodbye. It’s bittersweet.”

During their ending ments, the BTS members talked about their appreciation for ARMY and how much the Love Yourself era meant to them.

“I can be here thanks to you,” RM said. “Believe me I hope our word or even a single line in our songs helped you to love yourselves. No matter how we are when we come back, let’s be there for each other. I didn’t want to cry… 2018 Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour came to an end and I’m sad that we can’t do it again. I wish there was something better than ‘I love you.’ I really love you.”

The BTS episode about Speak Yourself in Seoul made fans emotional

The BTS members are set to begin their Map of the Soul Tour in April 2020, but because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak those plans are up in the air. This makes the timing of the BTS Episode even more emotional, as fans are reminiscing and hoping BTS will have the chance to do what they love in the coming months.

“i just finished watching the episode and i literally sobbed please i miss them so much.. and the ending ment… god they mean so much to me :(((,” a fan tweeted.

“now im crying because of namjoons ending ment:( they mean so much to us and we mean so much to them :(,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“there’s nothing more devastating than namjoon’s last ending ment. especially in the current situation, when we still don’t know whether they’ll be able to hold their world tour this year or not, it’s heartbreaking. whatever the future may hold, we’ll be by your side forever,” wrote a Twitter user.

“THEY PUT THE ENDING MENT OF NAMJOON CRYING IN THE LATEST BANGTANTV EPISODE, DOES BIGHIT WANT TO ME DIEIEEEEEEEE,” tweeted a fan.

“I was lucky enough to attend the final day of Speak Yourself Tour in Seoul This is how it looked like from my seat vs. Episode. So much love! I sincerely hope that the pandemic would be over soon so they can tour again,” a fan tweeted.
