Peacemaker premiered on HBO Max on Jan. 13, with new episodes dropping weekly on Thursdays. The show is airing an eight-episode season.

So the last installment will be Episode 8, “It’s Cow or Never.” Fans can catch the Peacemaker season finale on Thursday, Feb. 17.

Steve Agee promises the ‘Peacemaker’ finale will blow fans’ minds

In the penultimate episode of Peacemaker Season 1, Peacemaker (John Cena) and the team get back together after Murn’s (Chukwudi Iwuji) death. After asking Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) to take charge, she suggests the crew take out the butterflies’ food source — the “cow.”

Scenes from the season finale preview hint Peacemaker and the crew are in for an epic battle with the aliens. And in a Reddit AMA, Agee teased the episode is one of the wildest of the season.

“[My] favorite episode is the season finale (episode 8),” the actor wrote. “I think it’s going to blow people’s minds. When HBOMax sent out the episodes to the press to review they wouldn’t send out the finale because it’s so bonkers they don’t want anything to leak out.”

Jennifer Holland says the finale won’t really tease a ‘Peacemaker’ Season 2

Peacemaker is such a fun series, fans are already wondering if Gunn will bring it back for another season. But in a recent interview, series star Jennifer Holland revealed that the showrunner didn’t write the season finale with a cliffhanger ending. And he may not have had Peacemaker Season 2 in mind when wrapping.

“To some degree, I think the way that James approached Season 1 was that he wanted to make sure that the story was a complete one,” Holland told TV Line. “He’s a writer of films, mostly; this is his first foray into writing an episodic series, so there’s a well-rounded story involved.”

“There might be, you know, hints to other things, but I don’t know that he had any clear idea that there would be a Season 2 when he wrote Season 1, if that makes any sense,” she added. “I think there’s always the hope that that’s going to happen, but there’s never really any conversation about it until you know how it’s being received.”

The actor noted that Gunn wasn’t sure if audiences would like the series. So he made sure to tell a complete story, just in case it wasn’t well-received.

The Peacemaker star also seconded Agee’s sentiments about the season finale. “I will say this,” Holland teased. “Some crazy s*** happens in Episode 8!”

The thrilling, bonkers, and mind-blowing Peacemaker finale airs Feb. 17 on HBO Max.
