There are some things Drummond won’t eat, but she does have a few items she likes to consume regularly. Some of her favorite items are Slim Fast, Nutella, and roasted chicken. Drummond is also a big fan of butter. She loves butter so much she wrote a post about it on The Pioneer Woman blog. One of her funniest comments is, “butter is a church of which I am a member.”

Drummond feels so strongly about her dislike of a certain breakfast item she made an announcement on Twitter. The “accidental country girl” posted this message to her followers: “I do not like chocolate chip pancakes.” Drummond posted another message about her aversion to chocolate chips in pancakes. “I love pancakes, but love waffles more. Unless they have chocolate chips in them.” She then went on to explain why she doesn’t care for chocolate chips in her pancakes:

The slight bitterness of the semisweet chocolate distracts from the already-perfect harmony that has been achieved between the soft, golden pancakes, the silky salted butter, and the warm, sweet syrup. Also, chocolate chip pancakes are totally grody to the max.

Drummond shared that she tried to explain to her sons and their friends why chocolate chips don’t belong in pancakes. However, she says they didn’t listen and requested the breakfast item anyway. She joked her new family will now be her Twitter followers. “I tried to have this exact conversation with my teenage boys and their friends just now, as I reluctantly handed them plate after plate of the dreadful chocolate chip pancakes they had requested, but for some reason they tuned me out? Thank you, Twitter—you are my family now.”

Pancakes aren’t the only meal Drummond doesn’t want with chocolate. She also told her Twitter followers she doesn’t care for chocolate pecan pie. “And please, please, please don’t bring up chocolate pecan pie,” she posted.

When it comes to cookies, Drummond doesn’t mind adding chocolate chips. If you’re looking for a basic chocolate chip cookie recipe, you can find one on The Pioneer Woman blog. This is a quick recipe Drummond says will yield a batch of cookies in about 30 minutes or less.
