What is a Chicken Fajita Salad Bowl?

A Chicken Fajita Salad Bowl is an all-in-one meal that holds all the components of either a tasty lunch or dinner.

This can include any type of protein you desire including beef, pork, tofu, or beans. However, for this recipe, chicken breasts are used.

Drummond said on her Pioneer Woman website that this complete meal holds “all the fajita fixings you love so much in one bowl..sans the guilt? Sounds too good to be true—but with this recipe, it’s not.”

What goes into Ree Drummond’s Chicken Fajita Salad Bowl?

A plethora of delicious herbs flavors the chicken that is the centerpiece of the meal. These include onion and garlic powder, cumin, oregano, black pepper, and paprika.

The base of the salad includes the following tasty ingredients.

Chicken breasts, avocado, onion, red bell pepper, red onion, cheddar cheese, avocadoes, and lettuce are the core ingredients. These are topped with sour cream and salsa.

Why is this particular recipe called guilt-free?

The reason that this particular dish is sans the guilt is that at home, you can control your ingredients and include or take out the toppings you desire. Freshness is key with this salad, and piling it with lots of freshly cut veggies will fill you up without weighing you down.

The chicken is baked, the veggies are quickly sauteed and everything is piled into a bowl. Served with rice or without, this tasty dish is just like a take-out favorite but even better.

The method couldn’t be more straightforward. Heat the oven to 400 degrees. Place all the ingredients on a sheet pan except for the lemon. Roast the shrimp until cooked through, and the cherry tomatoes burst.
