Slim Fast

On Ree Drummond’s blog, The Pioneer Woman, she said she drinks Slim Fast. At one point, she was drinking the weight loss shake every day for breakfast and dinner. She confessed to her readers that she would compensate for the liquid meals by eating a lot of food for lunch—or as she described it, “eating myself silly.”

Drummond likes butter–lots of it. She’s not shy about the fact that she puts butter on almost everything and she loves to cook with it. A lot of her recipes contain large doses of butter. There’s even a recipe on Ree Drummond’s blog for how to make your own homemade butter. The recipe was written by one of Drummond’s blog contributors, Erica.

Who doesn’t love Nutella? If you don’t have a nut allergy, you probably eat a couple of jars of this treat a month. Ree Drummond is no different from the rest of us, when it comes to consuming a healthy dose of Nutella from time to time. Drummond says she keeps a big stash of Nutella at home. However, she makes sure to hide her stash, so her sons don’t eat it all.

In an interview with The Daily Meal, she revealed, “I always have a jar of Nutella, and I hide it well — because if I keep it on the counter, it’s gone in 12 hours.”  She shared her clever hiding spot with the interviewer: “I have hiding spots in my own pantry. I’ll put jars of Nutella inside pickling pots,” she said. Drummond says teenage boys have a huge appetite, so it’s necessary for her to hide some of the snacks and food. “That’s the thing about teenage boys, they’ll eat you out of house and home,” she joked.

In an interview with the Food Network’s Dish, Drummond said she usually has roasted chicken legs if she decides to have a regular dinner. “If it’s wintertime, roasted chicken legs and broccoli cheese soup. If it’s summertime, roasted chicken legs, refrigerator rolls and cool, colorful salad … and it’s too hot to eat dessert, so we all have fruit,” she told the publication.
