Ree Drummond’s beautiful mother of the bride dress has a ‘RHONY’ connection

Drummond showed off photos from her daughter’s wedding on Instagram and her Stories, giving a glimpse at the beautiful event. Fans loved her daughter’s dress, the reception décor that looked like a gorgeous garden under an enormous tent, and Drummond’s unique mother of the bride dress.

Drummond took to her Instagram Stories to share a link to a blog post that explained how she picked out the dress. “Swipe up to read the reason I chose this M.O.B. dress,” she noted.

In her blog post on The Pioneer Woman website, the Food Network star gave the run-down on how “The Real Housewives of New York picked it out.”

Drummond shared the backstory of Countess Luann wearing an outfit from the designer Jovani at her cabaret show with Dorinda in the audience wearing the same fashion label. “And she was miffed, not only that she and Luann had experienced recent tension in their friendship, but that she had been the one to introduce Luann to the Jovani brand in the first place,” Drummond noted.

“Out of the blue, while Luann was starting her performance, she suddenly started clapping and sarcastically yelling, ‘Jovani! JOVANI! Thank you, Jovani! JOVANI!,’” Drummond added.

Ree Drummond seemed destined to get a dress inspired by ‘Real Housewives’

Drummond went on to share how that scene from Real Housewives was “ringing in my head” while she hunted for her mother of the bride dress.

“I Googled ‘Jovani’ and decided at that moment that I was going to do everything I could to wear the brand at Alex’s wedding, because the Real Housewives are my imaginary best friends and I wanted them to come to the wedding with me,” she explained.

Drummond found a Jovani dress, which she described as having “an allover soft blue scrolly pattern against a nude shell.” She loved the sleeves in particular, which she explained, “were open on the underside and gave the impression of a cape or shawl.”

“I ordered it in the size I wanted to be (or thought was realistic) by the wedding, then stuck it in my closet,” Drummond wrote.

The Pioneer Woman had ordered eight other dresses that didn’t work for her and she had the Jovani dress and one other option. “Until the wedding day, I still didn’t know which one I’d wear … but ended up going with the Jovani!,” she noted.

Drummond posted photos of herself wearing the dress, which had a flattering silhouette and suited the vibe of the wedding. “It was a little outside my comfort zone in terms of being snug, and I tugged on it a little throughout the night,” she admitted. “But the other choice was more fancy and glitzy, and it wouldn’t have felt quite right at the ranch.”
