‘The Real Housewives’ Franchise Is About to Release Its Best Spinoff Yet
The Real Housewives is the staple franchise of Bravo. People know all the installments for their over-the-top parties and vacations. Not to mention, fans get to see the drama between cast members happen on TV and social media.
Each star has to audition with a video submission of their daily lives. Recently, the network likely had some for an upcoming spinoff called The Real Housewives of Dubai (RHOD). Some people might consider the new show to be the best one in the franchise yet.
‘The Real Housewives’ is one of Bravo’s longest running franchise
The Real Housewives franchise began with The Real Housewives of Orange County in 2006. The first reality series took inspiration from a soap opera called Desperate Housewives. Some stars on The Real Housewives have talked about being fans of the fictional show.
Since then, the franchise has gone strong with numerous spin-offs in other locations. The premise centers around upper-class women living in a high-end community. Viewers learn about the lives of each of the stars and the social dynamics of the group.
Popular spin-offs include The Real Housewives of New York City and The Real Housewives of Miami. In 2020, Bravo aired its 10th installment of the franchise set in Salt Lake City. Several shows still are airing new episodes, and fans can watch international spin-offs that other networks have produced.
Many of the episodes feature plenty of drama. However, multiple people want the franchise to end because the drama appears fabricated for views. Other people enjoy the drama on some of the shows. It does not look like The Real Housewives will end anytime soon.
Bravo will release ‘The Real Housewives of Dubai’ next year
A new installment in The Real Housewives franchise is going to premiere on Bravo. According to Page Six, the new series is going to be titled The Real Housewives of Dubai. Fans have been streaming previous episodes on Peacock as they wait for more content from the franchise.
People can expect RHOD to premiere sometime in 2022. The structure of the new reality series will be similar to its counterparts. Several women from wealthy backgrounds navigate their careers and personal lives. Viewers will get to see what life is like in Dubai.
Fans can expect a whole batch of fresh drama and twists. As of right now, the network has not released news of the cast. Still, people working on the show are excited about the new spin-off.
“Everything’s bigger in Dubai,” executive producer Andy Cohen stated in an interview, “and I couldn’t be more excited to launch Bravo’s first international ‘Housewives’ series in a city I’ve been fascinated by for years, with an outstanding group of friends as our guides.”
‘The Real Housewives of Dubai’ will be extravagant
RHOD is not the first series to take place outside the United States. However, it is the first spin-off that Bravo will be producing internationally. People can anticipate the show to be more extravagant and decadent compared to previous installments.
Since the United Arab Emirates acts as a backdrop, the aesthetics most likely will be luxurious. A press release mentioned the fans get to see “over-the-top opulence, jaw-dropping modern architecture and wild nightlife scene.”
After watching the teaser, many fans are looking forward to what the upcoming reality series will bring. A few of them hope that some of the cast members are native to Dubai. Others want to see the culture of the location and desire the stars to reflect the region.
There is not much information out yet for RHOD, but it might be a bit different from other The Real Housewives shows.
