Since landing her big break on the hit MTV reality series The Hills back in 2006, Audrina Patridge‘s life has been showcased on camera for all to see.

Though the reality star has taken a break from the industry for a while to focus on being a wife and mother, we are excited to see Patridge back with the rest of The Hills cast on the new spin-off series The Hills: New Beginnings.

With so many things having happened in her life recently, Audrina Patridge had to convince herself to come back on the show and be open about her personal life once again.

Though it was hard at first, she eventually came to the conclusion that certain things in her life will remain private, especially while she’s filming.

Patridge doesn’t comfortable bringing her daughter on an adult show

It’s been a few years since Audrina Patridge was last seen on a reality television show and since then, a lot has changed in her life.

After The Hills ended in 2010, Patridge had gotten married to professional BMX dirt bike rider Corey Bohan and the couple welcomed their daughter, Kirra Max, in 2016.

Now that Audrina Patridge is back on television for The Hills reboot, The Hills: New Beginnings, fans will get a chance to learn more about her marriage coming to an end as well as how she is trying to balance her career and motherhood.

Though she has already opened up about her divorce on the show, many fans have been wondering if Patridge will showcase her life as a mother just like castmate Heidi Montag.

While the reality star has touched upon motherhood on the show, Patridge has decided not to showcase that part of her life.

While interviewing with Kristine Leahy on Fair Game, Patridge opened up about her decision of not having her daughter appear on the show.

“So I kind of had to make a decision and talk to the producers and the network and they reassured me about a lot of things,” Patridge shared. “My daughter is not on the show because I’m mama bear and it’s just a whole different world to bring a child into and that’s just how I feel.

Partridge agreed that she will talk about her daughter every now and again but just doesn’t think the show is appropriate for her to be on.

She continued, “I just didn’t know what the show was going to be about at first and I feel like it’s more of an adult show and it’s not kid-friendly, especially this reboot. It is a wild ride, let me tell you.”

Patridge has already talked about her divorce

Though Audrina Patridge hasn’t really opened up about her life as a mother, the reality star has already shared a few things about her divorce.

Patridge’s divorce from her ex-husband, Cory Bohan, was just finalized back in December 2018.

Since Patridge and Bohan’s split was still pretty fresh while the reality star was filming The Hills: New Beginnings, it was only a matter of time before she opened up about her divorce on-camera.

The premiere of the reboot opened up with Patridge moving into her new home following her split from Bohan.

Later on in the episode, Patridge revealed some in-depth details surrounding her unhealthy relationship with her ex-husband.

“I was so numb and isolated and so depressed I lost over 20 lbs. I felt like I had no one else, I had to make this work,” she said then adding, “That’s why we got married because I was pregnant. I was trying to do the right thing, which now I know is not the right thing.”

With so many changes happening in her life in such a short amount of time, we can understand why Audrina Patridge was a little hesitant about having her personal life showcased on the series.

Everyone in the cast has their own life struggles that they are dealing with but if Patridge can help it, certain aspects of her personal life will continue to remain private.
