The Umbrella Academy Season 3 premieres on Netflix in June of 2022. With only a few months until the release date, let’s look back at some of the characters’ best moments, starting with Klaus Hargreeves (Robert Sheehan).

It’s hard to choose only three of Klaus’ best LOL moments, but he’s easily the funniest of the Hargreeves siblings. His carefree attitude toward almost everything and witty remarks quickly made him a fan favorite of the series. Here are our top three moments in no particular order.

‘The Umbrella Academy’ Season 1: Klaus pretends to be Number Five’s dad

Klaus’ character has a pretty big arch over the course of The Umbrella Academy Seasons 1 and 2. When we first meet him, he’s an addict constantly on the lookout for the next scheme to swindle a few dollars for his next fix. He made some strides in The Umbrella Academy Season 2 when he took some time to come to grips with his guilt over his brother Ben (Justin Min.) However, when Five needs someone to pretend to be his dad to get some information regarding the upcoming apocalypse in season 1, Klaus is more than happy to help out for a quick twenty dollars.

Five needs to know the identity of the owner of a prosthetic eye he found in the rubble of The Umbrella Academy headquarters when he jumped into the future. The maker of said eye refuses to give out the information without consent from the owner. Thankfully, Klaus takes this as his cue.

“What about my consent?” Klaus asks a perplexed doctor.

He continues, “Who gave you permission to lay your hands on my son? You heard me. Well how did he get that swollen lip then?”

Klaus punches Five in the face, smashes a snow globe onto his head, and quickly manipulates the man into giving them the information they need. All the while, Five sits back with a smirk on his face, impressed with his brother’s… ahem, persuasive charms.

‘The Umbrella Academy’ Season 2: Klaus is sexy trash

Klaus may be many things, but he’s never lacking self-awareness. As he, Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman,) and Diego (David Castańeda) attempt to save their sister, Vanya (Elliott Page), from causing the apocalypse, Klaus tells Allison Vanya would understand if he bailed.

“Vanya would understand. She has realistic expectations of what I am. And, what I am is sexy trash,” Klaus explains.

Although the wildest member of The Umbrella Academy may have wanted to leave, he does the right thing. Klaus tries to stop Vanya. Even if it doesn’t work, it’s the thought that counts, right?

‘The Umbrella Academy’ Season 1: A simple birthday party goes awry

By the time we reach The Umbrella Academy Season 1 Episode 10, Klaus’ reflection on the loss of the man he loves has taken its toll on his devil-may-care attitude. But even though he’s mourning the death of Dave, he still manages to deliver on one of the most delightful scenes in the series.

When the Hargreeves must come up with a plan to stop Vanya from ending the world, they decide the best place to do so is in a local bowling alley. Never mind the child’s birthday party happening just a few lanes over. When assassins from The Commission show up intending to take out all members of The Umbrella Academy, gunfire erupts. Instead of panicking like his siblings, Klaus sneakily raises up from behind a counter and steals the kid’s birthday cake.

Allison decides their best chance at escape is using the end of the lanes as an exit. With Bay City Roller’s “Saturday Night” blaring over the speakers, the Hargreeves dash down the bowling lanes and dive into the pins. Klaus runs with his signature style, narrowly missing a few bullets along the way.

Fans can expect more of Klaus’ antics in The Umbrella Academy Season 3, which hits Netflix in just a few months.
