Why did Jedediah Bila leave ‘Fox & Friends Weekend?’

Bila was one of the anchors of Fox & Friends Weekend. The political commentator had been there since 2019 after re-joining the cable network in April 2018 following her exit from The View. It was Fox News that announced Bila had “parted ways” from the network and show.

“We have mutually and amicably parted ways with Jedediah Bila and wish her all the best,” Fox News said in a statement shared by Deadline. “The new co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend will be named soon.”

The former teacher also took to social media to share her thoughts following the announcement.

“Thank you to the Fox News reporters, anchors, contributors, and producers who have been an absolute pleasure to work with these last few years,” she tweeted. “To the viewers who supported me throughout my journey there — I’m deeply grateful for you and hopeful you’ll join me on my next adventure. I’m really excited for what’s to come.”

Jedediah Bila is working on something new

Although Bila didn’t say what her next plans were, back in April she hinted at some exciting news. In the past, Bila has published a couple of books that have become best-sellers. Outnumbers: Chronicles of a Manhattan Conservative and #DoNotDisturb: How I Ghosted My Cell Phone to Take Back My Life have been some of the titles she’s published.

On April 1 of this year, Bila shared on Instagram that she was working on a new project that brought a smile to her heart. Bila reflected on the meaning of spring as she came up with ideas for “potential future projects.”

“Spring is here and I couldn’t be happier. Spring is a time for rebirth, a time when flowers bloom and warmth comes back into our lives, at least for those of us in NYC,” Bila shared. “For me, it’s always been a time of awakening, of paying attention to who I am in this moment and what I want to bring to the world.”

Bila encouraged her fans to not be afraid of doing things that make you smile and make you feel good.

“Don’t be afraid to let the sunshine and blooming flowers guide your way, to let go of things that bring you down, to take a good hard look at what no longer feeds your soul or reflects who you are. Don’t be afraid to direct your focus and energy toward the positive, toward the ideas and spaces that lift you up,” she added.

Why did Jedediah Bila quit ‘The View?’

Bila joined The View as a recurring guest co-host in season 19 of the show. Her political beliefs came from the Libertarian philosophy, making her one of the few voices on mainstream television. When season 20 premiered, she became an official co-host on the show. Bila had signed on for season 21 but after only a few weeks in, she announced her sudden departure.

In 2018, Bila appeared on The Jim & Sam Show where she revealed her departure was not voluntary.

“I had signed for a new season I think about a week and a half before,” she revealed.

Bila claims to know not what happened and why the decision was made.
