Meghan McCain is one of the panelists of The View that consistently makes headlines. The only conservative voice on the show usually clashes with her co-hosts causing the moments to go viral on social media. McCain is currently pregnant and expected to go on maternity leave in the coming weeks. Many believe that she will be let go from the show and the Republican pundit is now shutting down the rumors.

Is Meghan McCain leaving The View?

McCain and the rest of The View ladies are currently on hiatus through the month of August. On her last live show, the political analyst tweeted a message of gratitude for being part of the iconic ensemble.

“Thank you for a really wild, intense but memorable season. Today is our last episode and we are on hiatus for the summer,” McCain tweeted. “Grateful for this platform, my co-hosts, our fearless The View team, and one of the last truly uncensored spaces in all of television. See you in September!”

On the previous tweet she states she will return to the show when season 24 kicks off after Labor Day. In addition, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, McCain was asked if she was getting let go after her maternity leave.

“Why does everyone ask me if I’m getting fired or quitting every 20 seconds?” she fired back after Andy Cohen asked the fan question. “No other host has to deal with this BS. Yes, I’m coming back. It’s an election cycle.”

Fans react to Meghan McCain returning

After Bravo shared the video on YouTube, many fans took to the comments section to drop their answer to McCain’s question about why they keep asking if she’s leaving The View.

“We ask because we’re all hoping the answer is no, you won’t be returning,” a fan of WWHL replied.

“Because we can’t stand you,” a viewer added.

“People ask because people don’t like you,” a user commented.

“Please don’t come back Meghan, we don’t want to see you again.” another Bravo fan said.

“Please don’t come back and take Trump with you,” another user posted.

Meghan McCain calls out ‘haters’

McCain gets a lot of heat on social media and a couple of weeks ago she put all her haters on blast. The conservative co-host might have been reading negative comments about her and reacted by bursting out publicly.

“Buncha jacka**es on social media saying they hope I get fired from The View when I go on maternity leave because it will be a great excuse when I give birth,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “[This] is why the patriarchy is alive [and] strong and why career women continue to put off starting families so long. Such bulls**t.”

She made these comments on Independence Day and after she tweeted out her message, she had a change of heart and deleted it. McCain acknowledged she might have reacted a little too quickly in a follow-up tweet.

“You know what — it’s our Independence Day, everyone be safe, healthy and happy and try and enjoy. Gonna try and focus on all the positive in the world,” she wrote.

The View is set to return after Labor Day on ABC at 11 a.m. ET and 10 a.m. PT/CT.
