‘The View’: Meghan McCain Shares Sweet Post To Husband ‘A Few Weeks Away’ From Having a Baby
Meghan McCain is one of the hosts of the Emmy-winning show The View. The conservative television personality recently returned to the program with its season 24 premiere. McCain is only a few weeks away from meeting her precious baby and becoming a mother. Ahead of giving birth, the Real Housewives fan shared a sweet post with her husband Ben Domenech.

McCain surprised everyone back in March when she announced she was pregnant. The expectant mother had previously revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage which understandably weighed heavily on her and her family. Early on in her pregnancy, she let the public know she was going to keep details about her baby private, which she decided with her husband.
“Ben and I have made the conscious decision to guard our (growing) families’ privacy as much as is possible,” McCain posted on Instagram. “I believe children have a right to privacy and hope you will all understand as we navigate this as much as possible going forward without sacrificing our comfort or safety.”
McCain acknowledged it was ironic she was not sharing details about her pregnancy being a co-host on a daytime talk show. However, living in the public eye and constant scrutiny is not something she wants her baby to deal with.
“I know this is an unorthodox choice for a talk show host who is on TV five days a week – but I’ve always lived by the beat of my own drum,” she continued. “Thank you for the continued kind words, support and prayers regarding my pregnancy from so many of you who are nothing but kind. It has meant a lot during this crazy time.”

Despite guarding moments about her pregnancy, McCain does let lose every once in a while and shares personal stories on social media. There was one particular Instagram post dedicated to her husband that was extremely touching.
“TBT many, many, years ago on our, like, third date. Drunk on whiskey sours,” McCain shared along with a picture of Domenech kissing her on the cheek. “Cut to today and I’m a few weeks away from having your baby… Life is bananas and we have been through the most insane sh*t the world can throw at a couple and somehow come out the other side still in love and intact.”
McCain explained that “it all started” when she thought Domenech was “hot and smart on Bill Maher.” She then states that she started following her now-husband on Twitter.
“You didn’t f**k around, slid into my DM’s and asked me to dinner immediately,” she continued. “I told Josh Rupley the night of our first date there was no chance it works out with this one, jokes on me. Love you baby. ‘Buy the ticket, take the ride.'”
McCain is expected to take time off The View in the coming weeks. Her chair will not be replaced and instead, guest co-hosts will take over while the Republican pundit is on leave.
The View airs weekday mornings at 11 a.m. ET and 10 a.m. CT/PT on ABC.
