In the caption next to a black and white photo of Parker, the same one Kelsey used in her post, they offered details surrounding Parker’s death. Specifically, that Wanted band members had been present when Parker died.

“Max, Jay, Siva, Nathan and the whole Wanted family are devastated by the tragic and premature loss of our bandmate Tom Parker, who passed away peacefully at lunchtime today surrounded by his family and his band mates,” the statement read. “Tom was an amazing husband to Kelsey, and father to Aurelia and Bodhi. The post concluded with “Tom Parker 1988-2022.”

Two years before his death Parker opened up to fans about a change in his health. The singer experienced seizures which led him to receive a diagnosis of stage 4 glioblastoma reports said at the time.

In an Instagram post signed by Tom and Kelsey, Parker explained he planned to “fight this all the way.”

“There’s no easy way to say this but I’ve sadly been diagnosed with a brain tumour and I’m already undergoing treatment,” Parker said. He continued, saying that “after a lot of thought,” he and Kelsey decided “that rather than hiding away and trying to keep it a secret, we would do one interview where we could lay out all the details and let everyone know the facts in our own way.”

The post continued: “We are all absolutely devastated but we are gonna fight this all the way. We don’t want your sadness, we just want love and positivity and together we will raise awareness of this terrible disease and look for all available treatment options. It’s gonna be a tough battle but with everyone’s love and support we are going to beat this.”
