The Weird Reason The Cast of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Keeps Dating Each Other
Vanderpump Rules is pretty much the gem of Bravo. The young cast never ceases to give us drama upon drama to obsess over. The friendship problems, the relationship highs and lows, all of it makes for perfect television.
And the fact that the cast refuses to date anyone outside of their circle is the gift that keeps on giving. Seriously, almost every member of the cast has dated another castmate besides their current partner.
Let’s take a look at the tangled web of Vanderpump Rules relationships.
Jax Taylor and Stassi Schroeder
One of the most memorable relationships on the show was the one between Jax Taylor and Stassi Schroeder. Though Taylor is now engaged to Brittany Cartwright, he started out the show in a longterm relationship with Schroeder.
The two’s relationship was the source of a lot of drama in the early seasons of the show.
It finally came to an end when it was revealed that Taylor cheated on Schroeder with fellow castmate Kristen Doute. Though Taylor had cheated on the reality star in the past, cheating with one of her best friends was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Tom Sandivol and Kristen Doute
Speaking of relationships that started the show, Tom Sandoval and Doute were also one of Vanderpump Rules’ founding couples. They dated for years before their constant arguing broke them up.
When Ariana Madix was moved to SUR from another one of Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurants, the chemistry between the two was off the charts. It wasn’t long before Sandoval was done with Doute for good and moved on to the beautiful blonde.
Kristen Doute and James Kennedy
When we were first introduced to DJ James Kennedy, he was dating Doute, as well. The two had a very tumultuous relationship riddled with fights and drama before they finally decided to go their seperate ways.
Kennedy is with Raquel Leviss now, but Doute has still been struggling with letting Kennedy get under her skin throughout the show.
Random hookups
While other cast members may not have been in full on relationships with each other, there have certainly been a lot of hookups.
Before Beau Clark began dating Schroeder, he actually made out with Doute.
On Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Schroeder revealed that Doute and Katie Maloney-Schwartz were the ones that set her up with Clark.
“Katie saw him at The Grove and looked over and said, ‘That’s a dude that I think Stassi would love,'” she recalled. “And he made out with Kristen on a movie set 10 years ago, on camera.”
That’s right, back when Clark was an actor in 2010, he and Doute were in the short film The Loneliness of the Long Distance Dreamer together and shared a kiss.
It may seem like Doute is always the one with a connection to someone else’s boyfriend, but sometimes her men get passed around in the circle as well.
In fact, her boyfriend Brian Carter had actually made out with Maloney-Schwartz before he met Doute.
“I knew [Katie] for 10 years,” Carter said on an episode of Vanderpump Rules. “I knew her before she met Schwartz.”
