Billy Miller is a popular actor in the daytime soap genre

Miller has had principal roles on three different soap operas in his career so far. He first debuted in the role of Richie Novak on All My Children in 2007. He remained in the role for just over a year and was killed off in 2008. The same year, he joined The Young and the Restless as a recast for legacy character, Billy Abbott. Miller was very popular in the role and remained on the show in 2014.

Once again hopping to a different show in the same year, he debuted on General Hospital as a recast for another legacy character, Jason Morgan. When Morgan’s original portrayer, Steve Burton, returned to the show in 2017, Miller’s Morgan was retconned to be a different character. He was now the twin brother of Morgan, named Drew Cain. Miller announced in 2019 that he would be leaving General Hospital.

The actor does not have social media and only can communicate to fans through his manager’s twitter when he has something to say. Regarding his General Hospital exit, Miller released a message through Marine Sparer’s Twitter account, saying:

With a slight air of sadness, it is time to ponder what “Goodbye” means. However, instead of dwelling on what is gone and sure to be missed, there is another way. Maybe our goodbye is really a remembrance of love felt, an appreciation for lives shared, and the lifelong reminisces that come from embraces and received. Maybe our goodbye is an earnest hope for the brightest path forward for us all. Now, instead of sadness, I am filled with gratitude for all your support, encouragement, and every emotion shared. I cherish the journey we have taken together. Thank you for allowing me into your home and lives. With every ounce of myself, I thank you for being you. I would be remiss in this crazy, unpredictable world we all love so much if I did not hold out the possibility that maybe our goodbye is really…UNTIL NEXT TIME

All My Love,

Billy Miller.

He appears on social media to celebrate Jeanne Cooper

Currently, The Young and the Restless is not airing new episodes because production is suspended due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. As a substitute, each week with no new episodes is being filled with a set of themed episodes. The first week of themed episodes focused on the iconic character of Katherine Chancellor, portrayed by the late Cooper.

With Cooper’s episodes airing, Miller released a video message through Sparer’s twitter to give tribute to her.

Showing a picture of Cooper, Miller said, “One of my most favorite people to have ever walked the face of this Earth. love this woman. I miss her dearly,”

He continued, “She took a real interest in me and my career from the very beginning of Y&R. She would check on me all the time, call me at home out of the blue, and made sure that I was finding my way through this crazy business in the best possible way. She was the matriarch of Y&R. She truly loved all her fans, everyone she worked with. I miss her. I love her. I say we continue to celebrate her.”

The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. There’s No word on when the show will be back in production to film new episodes.
