‘The Young and the Restless’: Fans Can’t Get Enough of Baby Dominic
The Young and the Restless infant Dominic Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) is melting hearts. Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) baby boy is receiving a lot of screentime because of his parents’ storyline. Although fans don’t like the storyline, they love seeing Dominic.
‘The Young and the Restless’ fans fall in love with Dominic Chancellor
Dominic has quickly captured the hearts of The Young and the Restless viewers. After his birth, the audience saw Abby carrying around what they referred to as a “blanket baby.” Instead of an actual baby, the actors were filmed with a doll covered by a blanket. Many people wondered if the show would ever cast a real baby.
Rainn and River Ware debuted as Dominic in December 2021. The twins have been a great addition to The Young and the Restless, and fans can’t stop gushing over them on Twitter. “Baby Dom is so adorable,” wrote one user. “Dom. He’s the man. Tiny man. Now, this is a real baby we can all get behind,” another viewer replied.
Dominic’s life is complicated
Dominic’s life is complicated like many of The Young and the Restless children. With Abby unable to carry a baby and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) unable to have children, Abby sought the help of her friends. With Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) as her surrogate and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) as the donor, baby Dominic was conceived.
Yet, Dominic’s birth was dramatic. A pregnant Mariah was held captive by Abby’s ex-husband Dr. Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan). Luckily, Abby and Devon rescued her in time and helped deliver Dominic.
Dominic’s life has been filled with chaos from the moment he was born. Unfortunately, it seems things will be more dramatic with him caught in a custody battle.
Devon Hamilton wants custody of his son
The Young and the Restless fans were right about a custody battle brewing over baby Dominic. Although legal papers were signed and Abby promised Devon visitation, that’s not enough for the billionaire. Devon bonded with his son after taking care of Dominic while Abby was away searching for Chance. He realizes he wants a more active role in Dominic’s life and asks Abby and Chance to rethink their original agreement.
While Abby and chance are mulling over Devon’s request, he’s receiving support from his family and his girlfriend, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan). Odds are the situation isn’t going to be amicable, and the trio may take their case to court. Fans are upset with the custody storyline, and poor baby Dominic will suffer the most from the feud with Abby, Chance, and Devon.
