‘The Young and the Restless’ Phyllis Summers’ eye-opening journey

With her relationship with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) in shambles and her family having other plans, Phyllis will have a lonely Thanksgiving. Even Gloria Fisher (Judith Chapman) mocks Phyllis’ being alone during a run-in in The Grand Phoenix lobby. Yet, Phyllis will have company as she celebrates the holiday.

According to Soaps.com, Phyllis’s plans to stay in her hotel room are disrupted when she receives a wake-up call from a surprise guest. That visitor happens to be Gloria. Decked out in a feather boa and sunglasses, Gloria tells Phyllis to get dressed because she’s got places to be.

Phyllis Summers’ journey is a dream

Being two of Genoa City’s troublemakers, Phyllis and Gloria would cause a lot of chaos on their adventures. However, as it turns out, their journey is nothing but a dream. The Young and the Restless loves to do standalone episodes featuring characters as they reflect on their past and future. So what can fans expect from Phyllis’ dream episode?

In the recent The Young and the Restless promo, Phyllis is with Nick at the Newman ranch celebrating Thanksgiving with his parents Victor and Nikki Newman (Eric Braeden and Melody Thomas Scott). Everyone’s laughing and having a good time as Nikki praises Phyllis. The rosy get-together with the Newmans is a far cry from Phyllis’ contentious relationship with her former in-laws.

Phyllis may be having fun in her dream, but that’s nothing compared to the harsh reality that awaits her.

Phyllis Summers gains clarity from her dream

The dream journey is going to be a huge wake-up call for Phyllis. The hotel owner is at a crossroads in her life as she contemplates her relationship with Nick. Although they have split, there’s still hope for a reunion.
