‘The Young and the Restless’ Speculation: Jesse Gaines Being Killed Off
The Young and the Restless knows how to bring suspense and drama to their storylines. Newcomer Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones) has created a stir ever since arriving in Genoa City. Jesse currently finds himself in Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) war with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Jesse’s playing with fire, and if he’s not careful, the consequences may be deadly.

Jesse made his The Young and the Restless debut in September 2021. The character is an attorney and former acquaintance of Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). Billy tracks down Jesse while digging into Ashland’s past.
However, Billy’s plan to expose Ashland’s secrets backfires when Jesse recants his story. Later it’s revealed he’s in cahoots with Victor and Adam. After causing so much turmoil, what’s next for Jesse?
According to Jones, his character’s time in Genoa City might be coming to an end. In a recent Instagram story, Jones posted a video on the set with the caption “Jesse’s days are numbered!” As fans know, the odds are Jesse’s exit won’t be pleasant.
Murder mystery storyline coming up
Rumors have swirled that The Young and the Restless is planning a murder mystery storyline. It appears that the victim will be Jesse. The attorney has made a lot of enemies during his short time in Genoa City.
Of course, Jesse knows secrets about Ashland’s past that could destroy his marriage to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Also, Jesse’s partnership with Victor and Adam could come back and bite him. Plus, Billy’s going to be furious with Jesse, who helped Victor takedown Chance Com.
Jesse undoubtedly has a massive target on his back, with everyone gunning for him.
Who’s the number one suspect?
If Jesse is killed, the big question is who the culprit is. In Jones’ Instagram story, he’s filming an upcoming scene with Adam. Jesse could have a change of heart and try to back out of their partnership. Adam’s killed before, and if Jesse angers him, this could trigger his return to the dark side.
Also, one can’t forget about Billy. His life has been turned upside down by Jesse. He is about to lose his job and his girlfriend Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Although Billy and Adam are the top suspects, odds are it won’t be a significant character.
Ashland is the one who stands to lose everything, thanks to Jesse. Ashland is a scammer, and Y&R fans believe he’s not dying and only with Victoria for her money. Yet, with Jesse in the picture, Ashland’s latest scheme was about to blow up. So the con man may add murder to his list of crimes.
