‘The Young and the Restless’: Who Will Rey End Up With Next?
CBS’ soap opera The Young and the Restless has had a lot going on as of late. This is especially true for Rey Rosales.
Rey, who is played by Jordi Vilasuso, is a relatively new addition to the cast of the long-running series. Since Rey showed up in Genoa City in 2018 there has always been an air of mystery and surprise surrounding the character. Much of Rey’s storyline has revolved around his relationship with Sharon Newman, but, as viewers recently saw, the couple’s relationship has officially come to an end.
With that being said, many fans of The Young and the Restless are wondering what this means for Rey and, more specifically, who he will end up with.
‘The Young and the Restless’: Elena Dawson
Twitter was one of the many places fans and viewers of The Young and the Restless turned to to discuss potential suitors for the newly single Rey, and Elena Dawson’s name was one that was brought up a few times. Similarly to Rey, Elena’s character was a recent and new addition to the cast.
Brytni Sarpy is the talented actress who plays Elena. Since she has made her debut on The Young and the Restless in 2019 her character has gotten romantically involved with Devon Hamilton, but, more recently, the pair has faced troubles and concerns it doesn’t seem like they are capable of overcoming. On that note, many fans are wondering if the end of Elena’s relationship with Devon could mean the new beginning of one for her and Rey.
Lily Winters
Did someone say plot twist? Lily Winters was another name fans and viewers were throwing around while making predictions for Rey’s future love life. Lily has been on The Young and the Restless since 2002, and her character has definitely been through it.
Much of her storyline has revolved around her dramatic and tumultuous relationship with Cane Ashby. However, after serving her prison sentence as a result of the part she played in a tragic and fatal car accident, she made the decision to split from her husband. Even though Lily is currently in a relationship with Billy Abbott, many people still think she would be the perfect pick for Rey.
Sally Spectra
Like all things in life, Rey’s newly single state has elicited many mixed emotions from fans and viewers. With that in mind, though a few people suggested Sally as a potential flame for Rey, the overall consensus seemed to turn down this idea. One viewer implied that Rey pursuing Sally would blatantly be sabotaging his own happiness. Another fan expressed hope that Rey’s next love interest would be anyone but Sally.
Courtney Hope is the actress responsible for bringing Sally Spectra’s character to life on The Young and the Restless. First introduced in 2017, Sally’s character is known for her family connections, interest in fashion, and, of course, her sassy attitude. Faking a fatal illness, kidnapping, and manipulation are just a few of Sally’s specialties on The Young and the Restless.
It is easy to see why fans and viewers of the popular CBS soap opera would be hesitant for a love story involving Sally and Rey. Though it doesn’t seem likely, followers of The Young and the Restless are eager to see where and who Rey’s heart leads him to next.
