Amid the catfights and smackdowns on The Real Housewives franchise, a hint of royalty exists. Some of the women on the reality series married into royalty or have distinct connections to a family member. Others have rumored ties to royalty.

While some Bravo women have ties to the British royal family, others are linked to royalty throughout the world.  Some are obvious, but other links are pretty surprising. Here’s who has been touched by a royal.

Bethenny Frankel

The Skinny Girl mogul told The Kyle and Jackie O Show she once dated Meghan Markel’s ex.  “I met him in Chicago and we were supposed to go out, and I ended up seeing him one time and he’d been texting me,” US Weekly reports. “He’s a producer in L.A. He told me that he was married before. He’s divorced [now]. He was married to this girl named Meghan Markle from the TV show Suits.”

Carole Radziwill

Radiziwill has ties to both Polish and American “royalty.” She was married to Anthony Radziwill, the son of Polish Prince Stanislas Albert Radziwill, according to Bravo’s Daily Dish. Although that makes Radziwill a princess, she doesn’t throw that title around. Sadly, Anthony passed away from cancer in 1999. The Radziwill family is also connected to other “royalty” from the U.S.: the Kennedy family. Anthony’s mother, Lee was Jackie Kennedy’s older sister. John F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife were cousins and close friends with Carole and Anthony.

Lady Venus Behbahani-Clark

This Real Housewife of Melbourne may have thought it was a good idea to come into the franchise with a title. But she was discovered pretty quickly after the show aired. Married to “Lord” James Nicholas Clark, rumor has it that she purchased her title, according to Cosmopolitan. The couple is suspected of purchasing land in Scotland that includes a title for about $55.

LuAnn de Lesseps

Known as “The Countess,” de Lesseps has long been a Bravo royalty favorite. She was married to Count Alexandre de Lesseps who an ancestor of  Ferdinand de Lesseps, the architect of the Suez Canal, according to Celebrity Net Worth. The couple married in 1993 but divorced in 2009. They share two children, Noel and Victoria.

Sonja Morgan

She was married to financial mogul  John Adams Morgan, but dated true royalty, according to Bravo’s Daily Dish. At one point Morgan dated Prince Albert of Monaco and told Bethenny Frankel,  “I used to wear this with Prince Albert when we were dating in Monaco. Can you believe this? It has a skirt. I must have left the skirt at Albert’s.” While it was rumored she dated Donald Trump she insists they are just friends.

Tinsley Mortimer

Thought to be part of the demise of her marriage to Topper Mortimer, Tinsley was linked with German royalty, Casimir Wittgenstein-Sayn, Vanity Fair reports. Casimir, otherwise known as “Cassi” is the son of Prince Alexander of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn and Countess Gabriella of Schonborn-Wiesentheid. In the end, the union didn’t work out and Mortimer moved to Palm Beach, Page Six reports.

Dorinda Medley

Medley claims that she had quite an encounter with Princess Diana, thanks to her haircut, according to Bravo’s Lookbook. While living in London, Medley was compared to the princess so, “People kept saying I had a face like Princess Diana, so I cut my hair like Princess Diana,” she told Bravo. Apparently, she looked so much like Diana, Medley met her. “She even came up to me once and said, ‘I heard that you’re my doppelgänger,” she told Bravo.
