Kanye West did not mince words when mentioning Kris Jenner in a number of now-deleted tweets following his presidential rally on July 19. In addition to slamming her and Kim Kardashian West for trying to “lock me up,” the rapper also branded the momager “Kris Jong-Un” and claimed she wasn’t allowed to see his kids.

So how does Jenner feel about her son-in-law publicly bashing her on Twitter, and where does their relationship stand following West’s shocking tweets?

Kris Jenner has always supported Kanye West

Though it seems like West’s relationship with Jenner is on the rocks following his since-deleted Twitter thread, this hasn’t always been the case for the duo.

Before West’s wild Twitter spree, he was thought to have a close relationship with the Kardashian matriarch.

Though there were times they didn’t see eye to eye, Jenner has always been one to show her support for West, even when the world didn’t.

From attending his concerts and fashion shows and to allowing him and Kardashian West to stay with her while their Hidden Hills mansion was getting built, Jenner has always treated the rapper as one of her own.

She’s even had glowing things about her son-in-law in the past.

In 2018, after West publicly expressed his support of Donald Trump and tweeted some controversial opinions, Jenner defended the rapper’s actions while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“Kanye’s an amazing son-in-law. He’s an amazing dad and husband and friend and brother-in-law … I think what I really want to do is be there to help him be the best version of himself that he can be.”

She added, “You can’t control what somebody else is doing. I can’t always control what any of them do at any time. It’s really hard. You have kids and they might have a totally different opinion or view about something. And his are very strong. He has a big voice and he has a lot to say.”

Kanye West recently shared several tweets directed toward Kris Jenner

Though Jenner’s loved and supported West through his many controversies, it appears the rapper didn’t take any of that into account when he slammed the momager during his latest Twitter spree.

In a now-deleted flurry of tweets, the “Selah” rapper put Jenner on blast for apparently trying to “lock him up,” avoiding his calls, and for being involved in “white supremacy.”

West also branded the momager “Kris Jong-Un” and claimed that she and boyfriend Corey Gamble aren’t allowed to see his and Kardashian West’s four kids.

“Kriss [sic] don’t play with me you and that calmye are not allowed around my children,” the rapper wrote. “Ya’ll tried to lock me up.”

While Jenner has yet to publicly address her son-in-law’s claims, Kardashian West recently released a statement on Instagram regarding her husband’s outbursts.

“As many of you know, Kanye has bi-polar disorder,” the KKW Beauty mogul began her message, which was both posted to her Instagram story. “Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand. I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health.”

She added, “He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bi-polar disorder. Those who are close with Kanye know his heart and understand his words sometimes do not align with his intentions.”

Kris Jenner’ truly loves’ Kanye West despite inflammatory posts

Though West said some pretty shocking things about her on Twitter, sources say Jenner still loves and supports him.

According to HollywoodLife, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star isn’t holding her son-in-law’s defamatory words against him and is working with Kardashian West to get him the help he needs.

“Of course, this situation has been hard for her and the family, [so] Kim is thankful to have her mom’s support and guidance,” the source says. “Kris truly loves Kanye and just wants the best for them both.”

As you can see, Jenner has nothing but love for West. Even though he publicly slammed her on Twitter, she’ll always has his back because there’s no love greater than the love shared within a family.
