Is ‘This Is Us’ New Tonight, April 20? Here’s When the Pearson Family Returns
Is This Is Us Season 5 new tonight? The series aired sporadically throughout fall 2020 and spring 2021. Now the season is quickly coming to an end; however, fans want to know when Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca’s (Mandy Moore) family will return.
Is ‘This Is Us’ on tonight?
This is Us Season 5 does not air tonight, April 20, 2021. Production for the NBC series slowed this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns and added protocols. Series creator Dan Fogelman gave fans an update on March 9, which came true.
“For the This Is Us-ers out there – I believe we will be back next week with new episodes 4 of the next 5 Tuesdays,” Fogelman tweeted. “Thanks for your patience!”
This Is Us aired March 16, March 23, April 6, and April 13; however, it’s another long break for the Pearson family until the return. This Is Us is not new tonight, April 20.
When is the next episode of ‘This Is Us’?
This Is Us Season 5 Episode 14 returns May 11, after almost an entire month-long break. Only three episodes remain for season 5. When This Is Us returns, something is going on with Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown). Since the city councilman finally made amends with his brother Kevin (Justin Hartley) and found his identity, things are looking up for Randall. However, in the latest episode promo, fans theorize trouble ahead for his wife, Beth.
“Can you do me a favor?” Randall asks Deja (Lyric Ross). “Can you keep an eye on her?”
There’s a clip of Beth’s dance studio and one of her putting on a blazer in her bedroom.
“Beth doesn’t need a hero,” Deja replies. “Just be there for her.”
At the end of the preview for This Is Us Season 5 Episode 14, Randall has a worried look on his face.
‘This Is Us’ new episode
Although This Is Us is not new tonight, one writer and director offered a few mysterious words about it.
“Drip, drip,” director Kay Oyegun teased about the upcoming episode in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
“Swollen toes,” writer Jon Dorsey added.
In the new episode promo, Kate (Chrissy Metz) looks happy; however, Rebecca seems worried. Fans can guess that the “swollen toes” might be about the dance studio. However, Oyegun’s little tease is anyone’s guess.
This Is Us Season 5 is not new tonight, but returns with episode 14 on May 11, 2021, at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
