‘This Is Us’ Season 5 Episode 15 Recap: Kevin’s Bachelor Party
To prepare the men for his Bachelor party, Kevin Pearson sent everyone fly-fishing gear. The five men head to the family cabin in the Poconos in eastern Pennsylvania. It rains as soon as the men arrive, so they watch Jerry McGuire. Kevin remembers a time when he saw it with his dad, Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia). However, Uncle Nicky ruins it when he calls Kevin “Jerry 2.0.” for marrying Madison after getting her pregnant.
Kevin admits that he’s getting cold feet, so Randall insists all of the men get everything off their chests. Toby and Nicky complain about how unrealistic Jerry MacGuire is as a movie. Uncle Nicky admits that he lost Sally, the love of his life, and apologizes to Kevin. Miguel admits that his marriage to Rebecca happened out of odd circumstances, but their love only grew over the years. When the men head to bed, Uncle Nicky searches for his long lost love, Sally.
‘This Is Us’ Season 5 Episode 15 Recap: Madison’s Bachelorette Party
Beth Pearson (Susan Kelechi Watson) flies out for Madison’s Bachelorette party at her home in Los Angeles, California. Kate Pearson (Chrissy Metz), Rebecca (Mandy Moore), and Beth help Madison celebrate with a surprise model (not a stripper). However, the man, Joe (Colt Prattes), who will prepare drinks and model while they paint him, turns out to be one of Madison’s ex-boyfriends. However, she doesn’t mind because Joe “ghosted” her.
Beth gets an email from a job recruiter about applying to traditional job academies. Rebecca helps her feel inspired to be the change at the studios to who ruined her passion for dance. Later in the episode, Rebecca thanks Beth for helping her feel “normal” rather than like a patient.
In another scene, Kate plays a video of Kevin answering questions about Madison and their life together. Although his questions seem sweet to Madison, Kate remembers when he planned his life and future around Sophie. Later, Kate asked Madison if she is truly happy and she responds that she is. However, while she’s in bed, she considers why Kevin couldn’t come up with a dream for their future.

After Kevin’s talk with his ex-girlfriend, Zoe (Melanie Liburd), in This Is Us Season 5 Episode 14, Sophie unexpectedly called him in episode 15. She called to congratulate him on the twins and the upcoming wedding. Their conversation was interrupted, so he debated calling her back later at the cabin. Instead, he deletes Sophie’s number.
‘This Is Us’ Season 5 Episode 15 flashbacks to the teenage Pearsons
In This Is Us Season 5 Episode 15, viewers get a recap about what happened to the Pearson siblings when they took a trip to the family cabin with their significant others as teenagers. Young Kate (Hannah Zeile) is the only one without a date, but Rebecca insists they have each other.
19-year-old Sophie (Amanda Leighton) and Kevin (Logan Shroyer) argue about how their long-distance relationship can keep working.
Young Beth (Rachel Hilson) worries about her upcoming internship in Washington, D.C. She is worried about more failure in her life after leaving dancing. However, Rebecca reassures her that she is impressive and can do it.
Miguel calls Rebecca while she’s at the cabin with the teenagers and we find that he was already worried about her back then. This Is Us Season 5 returns on May 25, 2021 with the season finale on NBC.
