Sorry, This Is Us fans – the next new episode of season 6 won’t air on NBC for a few more weeks. But it certainly seems like it’ll be worth the wait. The This Is Us Season 6 Episode 6 preview teased new challenges for Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson), Kevin (Justin Hartley), and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) when new episodes return – here’s our breakdown of the promo trailer for “Our Little Island Girl: Part Two.”

‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Episode 6 preview teases Rebecca and Matt’s romance

The preview for This Is Us Season 6 Episode 6, “Our Little Island Girl: Part Two,” starts with Rebecca and Matt (Matt Corboy). The two walk into the Pearsons’ home, and they’re smiling from ear to ear. But the laughter stops once Rebecca notices teen Kevin (Logan Shroyer) and Sophie (Amanda Leighton) have stopped by.

“I didn’t know anybody was going to be home,” Rebecca says, clearly shocked.

Meanwhile, Kevin looks at his mom and her date with discomfort. After what happened with teen Kate (Hannah Zeile) in episode 5, it’s possible Kevin won’t take Rebecca’s new romance with Matt very well. But fans will just have to wait and see.

Kevin and Madison’s relationship takes a turn in the ‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Episode 6 promo

As the promo for This Is Us Season 6 Episode 6 continues, adult Kevin (Justin Hartley) heads back to LA to film The Manny reboot. Then on the set of the production, Kate (Chrissy Metz) witnesses an awkward moment between Kevin and Madison (Caitlin Thompson).

In the trailer, Kevin tells Madison he sent her some “flight options” for Thanksgiving. He wants the family to spend the holiday together outside of LA. But even so, Madison says she wants to spend Thanksgiving at home with the twins, and Kevin looks hurt.

Whatever happens between Kevin and Madison in the next episode of This Is Us Season 6, it seems like this situation will make co-parenting a little more complicated. But viewers will have to watch how the challenge changes things moving forward.

Beth feels the pressure in the trailer for ‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Episode 6

Although the This Is Us Season 6 Episode 6 preview kicks off with storylines for Kevin and Rebecca, the title “Our Little Island Girl: Part Two” suggests that the new chapter is about Beth. But luckily, the second half of the promo trailer focuses on the beloved character.

Previously, Beth got a new job at a dance academy after her studio closed down. Then the teaser for episode 6 shares a new obstacle.

“The fate of the whole program rests on me choosing the right dancers,” Beth says in a voiceover as she seemingly evaluates a line of students.

Meanwhile, Randall (Sterling K. Brown) supports his wife, telling her to trust her gut because it’s never let her down before. But even so, it seems Beth loses some of her confidence.

“I can’t fail at this again, Randall,” Beth tells her husband. “I can’t.”

Of course, many This Is Us fans already know that Beth eventually becomes the “boss” of a dance academy. So even if things don’t end well, at least viewers know she’ll be OK in the future.
