NBC will release the This Is Us Season 6 premiere on Tuesday, Jan. 4, at 9 p.m. ET. As always, the first episode will start the new season with Kate (Chrissy Metz), Randall (Sterling K. Brown), and Kevin’s (Justin Hartley) birthday. This year, the Big Three will be turning 41. And of course, there’s bound to be some big moments ahead.
When can fans watch ‘This Is Us’ Season 6 on Hulu and Peacock in 2022?
If you don’t want to watch the season 6 premiere of This Is Us on NBC, the first episode will be on Hulu starting on Wednesday, Jan. 5. Typically, new episodes will become available to watch on Hulu the streaming platform the morning after it airs live.
Meanwhile, fans can watch This Is Us Season 6 Episode 1, “The Challenger,” on Peacock a week after it airs on NBC. According to TV Guide, the premiere will drop on Peacock on Wednesday, Jan. 12.

What to expect from new episodes of ‘This Is Us’ Season 6
For now, This Is Us fans will have to wait and see what happens when season 6 airs on NBC and streams on Hulu and Peacock. But the Pearsons’ next adventure certainly seems worth the watch. In an interview with The Dipp, director Ken Olin claimed the first episode will be a “launching pad” that shows the stories that will be featured in the final season.
Meanwhile, Olin shared that This Is Us Season 6 is “about looking forward to the future” and “embracing that there is a generation of Pearsons coming up whose lives we’re not going to explore the same way we have this generation of Pearsons.” The director also confirmed that the final episodes will be the “biggest” the team has ever done.
“The last six, seven episodes… they’ll be the biggest episodes that we’ve done. They’re gonna be really big,” Olin said. “I mean, it’s gonna be deaths and weddings and huge family things. We’re gonna go to a couple different places. It’s gonna be really, really, big.”
