This Is Us is in its final season and fans are eager to find out how the NBC series will end. So when a fan discovered what they thought could be a This Is Us spoiler, they took to Reddit to dissect it. 

While researching the season 6 episode “Don’t Let Me Keep You,” This Is Us fans found a synopsis that didn’t align with the episode’s story. Some think NBC accidentally published the wrong summary for the episode. Here’s what they found.

‘Don’t Let Me Keep You’ episode description might contain spoilers according to ‘This Is Us’ fans 

One This Is Us fan took to Reddit to share the description they found for episode 4, which don’t describe the episode at all. “Found this — seems to have spoilers; did NBC mess up?” they said in their post, sharing a screenshot of the potential spoilers. “It seems like they posted the synopsis for a later episode instead of the one where Jack’s mother died.” 

The “Don’t Let Me Keep You” summary reads: “Rebecca [Mandy Moore] tells her children that she is losing her memory. She clings to the little things that made her life what it was. Randall [Sterling K. Brown] goes deeper into the search for his origins. Kate and Toby [Chris Sullivan] break up and Kevin’s business flourishes.” 

IMDb has yet to list a summary of the episode “The Hill,” slated to air on Mar. 22. But the site describes “Don’t Let Me Keep You” as: “Jack [Milo Ventimiglia] visits Ohio.” 

Fans unpack what spoilers could mean for future episodes of ‘This Is Us’

The Reddit thread sparked a conversation about the upcoming This Is Us episode and what might happen. “Randall may be digging deeper into his origins to make sure there aren’t any unknown skeletons in his family closet that could hurt him politically,” said one fan who commented on Reddit. 

“Interesting!” commented another Redditor, who admitted they’re “not sure what to think.” They think this synopsis is too detailed and “all over the place,” unlike other episode summaries, which are more succinct.

Other fans think the description aligns with episode 12 — the 100th for the series. “I’m sure something BIG will happen in it,” commented another Reddit user. 

Still, some Reddit users think this could be the description for episode 14, the episode that takes place the night before Kate’s second wedding. “It’s from 14,” reads a comment. “They just finished 14 today.”

‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Episode 9 promo doesn’t align with the potential spoiler fans found

“The Hill” will focus on Kate, so the episode could address the breakup between her and Toby, which fans know is coming. In the teaser clip for the episode, Kate says: “I have a full life that I could have never dreamed, but I miss the old Toby.” 

But nothing else about the teaser aligns with the potential spoilers fans uncovered. That doesn’t mean “The Hill” won’t touch on Randall, Kevin, or Rebecca’s storylines. But fans will have to tune in to find out!
