‘This Is Us’: The 1 Thanksgiving Episode Everyone Is Watching This Week and How To Stream It
This Is Us gave viewers a heart-warming Thanksgiving episode every season except in 2020. This year the fall finale occurred before the holiday season, but four Thanksgiving-themed episodes are available from previous seasons to stream. The one that fans watch repeatedly is “Pilgrim Rick,” from season 1. Here’s how you can watch it right now.
‘This Is Us’ Season 1 ‘Pilgrim Rick’ is the most memorable Thanksgiving Episode
In 2016, This Is Us was a brand new show however; the eighth episode, “Pilgrim Rick,” lives on forever in fans’ hearts. Last Thanksgiving, over 9 million viewers streamed This Is Us Season 1, Episode 8.

Randall’s holiday enthusiasm is infectious. He lives for his favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, and carries out numerous traditions for the Pearson family holiday. Meanwhile, fans’ favorite flashback moments are found in this episode.
In the late ’80s flashback, we found out where all of the Pearson family traditions came from. On the way to Rebecca’s (Mandy Moore) parents’ home, their car pops a tire, and it’s a blessing in disguise. Instead of venturing the six hours to meet the dreadful mother who always wants pictures of the twins, not Randall, the family has an unconventional holiday in a creepy lodge.
After walking 3.4 miles down the road to the nearest gas station, the family realizes that they have to stay in the motel run by Pilgrim Rick. However, Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) turns the evening into the most memorable Thanksgiving ever, and Randall replicates everything every year, right down to the hot dogs, Kraft singles, and saltines.
“There’s no one else I’d rather be too hot or too cold with,” Rebecca says every year, reliving that night.
Of course, there’s drama and many tears because Jack is no longer with the family, but the heart-warming moments live on.
