Inside Meghan Markle’s diet

Although Markle is careful about what she consumes, she is not a fan of dieting per se. Instead, she focuses on eating foods that are whole and fresh above all else.

This is one reason why Markle’s diet has changed over the years. At one point, she was described as being mostly vegan. She was also thought to be pescatarian before switching over to a completely gluten-free diet.

To complicate things even more, Markle has switched up her diet depending on life events. For example, the former actress followed a different diet for her wedding than she did while pregnant.

With that in mind, here are a few menu items one might find in Markle’s kitchen.

Breakfast

Meghan Markle is big on starting the day off with a fresh breakfast. According to Insider, the Duchess of Sussex usually begins the day with an acai bowl, a cleanse shake, and some green juice.

Her acai bowl normally consists of a packer, a tiny amount of almond milk, and a banana. She also throws in some berries, honey, coconut flakes, and even bee pollen from time to time.

If acai bowls aren’t your jam, Markle is also a fan of oatmeal — which she also tops with a banana for sweetness.

As far as coffee is concerned, Markle steers clear of the black liquid. Instead, she drinks hot lemon water.

Lunch

One of Meghan Markle’s all-time favorites foods is avocados. In fact, she usually orders some of these green treats on toasted bread whenever she travels abroad.

Avocados are a good source of healthy fats, fiber, potassium, and magnesium.

You can even add a poached egg on top of the avocados for extra flavor and protein.

If you get tired of the avocados, try making a large salad for lunch, complete with a protein. For Markle, she usually adds in rice or quinoa for some good carbs.

For an afternoon snack, Markle is known to grab a tall glass of green choice, which, again, is a substitute for coffee.

Dinner

For dinner, Markle normally settles for a heartier meal — and fish is usually the star of the plate.

The Duchess of Sussex reportedly loves a salmon and avocado sushi tray, which is packed full of good proteins and fats.

She also eats a lot of zucchini, mushrooms, and onions, ingredients she sometimes combines into a yummy taco or pasta dish.

As far as drinks are concerned, Meghan Markle is known to be a fan of red wine. That said, Markle views wine as more of a dessert than anything else, so avoid drinking too many glasses.

What would happen if you ate like Markle?

When it comes to the world of dieting, every individual is different. One person’s experience with Meghan Markle’s diet will likely differ from the next.

Even still, there is a good chance that you would feel better following Markle’s diet, depending on the state of your current diet.

With all of the healthy choices on the menu (including good sources of fiber and healthy fats), you might also feel less bloated and more energetic.

You might not, however, lose any weight, unless you started exercising more as well.

But because Markle eats a lot of healthy food items, there is a good chance that your body would approve of her diet, even if you are sensitive to certain types of food.

After all, it has worked for Meghan Markle all of these years and she has yet to complain about it. Before changing your diet, you should always consult a professional.
