Kathie Lee Gifford gives MINOR details on the man in her life

When Gifford virtually visited Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager on Today in April, she spoke of her new romance but was sparse on details.

“I’m in a really special relationship with somebody that is nice and fun and healthy, so that’s good,” Gifford told her former Today co-hosts, as reported by Yahoo! Life. “I’ve just found somebody that is so much fun to be with. He’s challenging to me, he’s the smartest person I’ve ever met. But he’s funny and we have a great time together.”

Stopping by the Today Show set in person on Nov. 30, Gifford was still tight-lipped on her relationship but confirmed that she’s very happy.

“I have a very sweet man in my life,” Gifford remarked. “He’s good for me, and I’m good for him. And that’s all that I’ll say about it, because there’s nothing else to talk about.”

‘Today’ alum gives her thoughts on marriage

Gifford recently celebrated the weddings of her two kids, Cody, 31, and Cassidy, 28. When Hager asked if she had any wisdom to impart on marriage, Gifford gave some sage advice.

“My advice about marriage is that when you make that vow, you better mean it,” she said. “They should make it harder to get married and easier to get out of it as opposed to the other way around. You really should know what you’re getting into.”

With divorce rates still high, the Then Came You star emphasized the need for couples to give their marriages the attention and effort necessary to stay together.

“It should be a lifetime commitment,” Gifford commented. “It rarely turns out that way, but people don’t work at it hard enough, I think. It’s a little too easy to just say, ‘That one didn’t work out, oh let’s get on a dating app.’ And then usually you end up making the same mistakes twice and not learning from them.”

Kathie Lee Gifford’s new book releases in December

Gifford also spoke about her latest book, “The Jesus I Know” where she talks about her deeply rooted Christian faith and provides scripture throughout the text. Sharing conversations with celebrities like Jimmie Allen, Kris Jenner, Kristin Chenoweth, Craig Ferguson, and Megyn Kelly on their spiritual walks, Gifford hopes to give readers some food for thought in their own faith journey.

In the meantime, Gifford is clearly thriving and expressed her gratitude for her contentment. “I’m in a very beautiful season of my life and I could not be more grateful for it,” she said “I feel settled.”

“The Jesus I Know” is on sale on December 1, 2021.
