In an interview he did with The Domenick Nati Show on May 29, Tom said he’d never seen an episode of 90 Day Fiancé prior to filming.

“I went on this show not knowing what it was. I didn’t even really know what the show was about. In hindsight, I probably should have watched it,” he said.

Tom received different ’90 Day Fiancé’ audience responses in his first and second seasons on the show

Tom went on to talk about how the audience’s perception of him changed from the first to the second season.

He never said he was a gentleman.

“I think I kind of upset people because in the first series, like, ‘He’s such a gentleman.’ I’ve never said that. I’ve never said I’m a gentleman. It’s just the perception of someone. So by the second series, by saying and doing certain things, obviously that’s changed the perception of me somewhat. But I’m all of those things. I’m kind, loving, and I’m an obnoxious pig as well. I own it. And I hold my hands up. If there’s something wrong then I apologize for it,” he said.

Tom says he didn’t understand the concept of ’90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ when he agreed to be on the show

Shortly after the “Tell-All,” Tom was interviewed once again by Nati where he reiterated that he really had no idea what he was signing up for when he agreed to join the cast of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.

“I didn’t actually realize the whole concept of the show. So when she’s saying, ‘Would you like to get married?’ and I’m going ‘What?’–I didn’t actually know that it was all about getting married or getting a green card, honestly,” he said.

Tom says it took a week of filming for him to start understanding the stakes.

“I understand that 90 Day Fiancé was all about getting married. I thought Before the 90 Days was where you go and meet someone and see what they’re like and then if you liked them you’d probably go onto 90 Day Fiancé and get married. I didn’t realize the concept to start with. But obviously I did after a week,” he said.

Tom says he hadn’t wanted to watch any previous episodes because he “thought it would cloud my judgment about who [Darcey] was as a person.”

When Darcey asked Tom to be on the show with her, he initially told her “no.” And he continued to tell her “no” for three months. Then, one Friday night, he got drunk and agreed to the whole thing. He did his first interview call drunk and he did his second interview call inebriated as well. And that’s all it took.

Tom says he’s done with 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, but he’d consider doing Pillow Talk in the future.
