Toni Braxton is showing that she’s more than a singing icon. After launching her own beauty business, Braxton is now showcasing a new fragrance. The fragrance is inspired by her classic single “Breathe Again.”

Toni Braxton has a new HSN fragrance called ‘Breathe’

Braxton has a new fragrance, named after her 1993 hit ballad “Breathe Again.” Breathe is available exclusively on HSN. Braxton was introduced to the shopping network by her mother Evelyn. She told People Magazine that partnering with HSN was a no-brainer.

“[My family and I] order things from it. It’s just a wonderful network, especially for a product such as mine,” the singer said. “They understand celebrities, they understand girl power and I’m just excited to be a part of a new family.”

Fans can purchase a signature bottle for $75. It features notes of bergamot, coconut water, lemon mist, water lily, white jasmine, and vanilla. She says she wanted a scent that capture others’ attention when they smell it.

“You ever go out in the store, smell this fragrance and go, ‘Oh my God, what is that? That smells incredible.’ And sometimes you have to nerve to even ask the person, ‘I’m sorry, what is that you’re wearing?’ This is what this fragrance does for me,” she says, describing the scent as “sultry and seductive” yet “airy and light,” she said.

Braxton also created the design of the bottle. It’s modeled after her infamous one-of-a-kind million-dollar bedazzled microphone that Braxton performed with during her Las Vegas residency shows during the 2000s.

Her famous sisters love the fragrance

Of course, Braxton had to get the approval of her opinionated sisters. “I wear it, my girlfriends wear it, my sisters [Traci, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar] wear it,” she said. Braxton also has an accompanying body lotion featuring the same scent for $38 also available on HSN.

Braxton added: “My family is brutally honest with each other. My sister Tamar absolutely love it. She went crazy about the bottle. Like, ‘How did you come over with this bottle idea?’ She said, ‘If I saw this on HSN, I would be intrigued because of the bottle shape. And now the fragrance is incredible too, so you have two for two, you’re winning.’

Luckily, she didn’t have to fight too hard for her sisters’ approval. “My sisters are always honest. We had a few fragrances we were trying in the beginning, they were like, ‘Ooh, ooh, that’s not it, or that’s too heavy, or that’s too this.’ So I had honest noses around me,” she continued. “They all love the fragrance, they love the bottle and they’re so excited about us getting together with HSN. They’re going to watch me on [air] this weekend.”

A recap of Toni Braxton’s ‘Breathe Again’

Braxton released the song as a single from her self-titled debut album. The song details a woman’s cry that if the man she loves ever leaves, it would be difficult for her to breathe.

“Breathe Again” was the singer’s first worldwide hit. It reached No. 3 for three non-consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent 17 weeks in the top 10. The song is actually Braxton’s favorite song to perform live.
