Toni Braxton wants a piece of the beauty and skincare business. The “Unbreak My Heart” singer is launching her own line of body care products. Braxton’s new venture is her first major one in the beauty industry.
Toni Braxton launches a new body care brand
Hello Beautiful reports that the Braxton Family Values star has launched a skincare line called Nude Sugar. The line is specifically for women of color, which Braxton boasts as a luxury body skincare line to nurture melanated skin.
Per an official press release, each product was carefully developed to address the demands of brown skin types. The line was created to fill a void for products in body and skincare offered for women of color. Nude Sugar is something Braxton has been cooking up for some time.
“I’m excited to step into my new business venture in the beauty industry and I couldn’t have been happier than to partner with ULTA who are leaders in the beauty retail space,” she says in a statement. “After working on Nude Sugar for 2 years I’m eager for women of all color to try my products that’s meant for US, there’s nothing else like it.”
The line currently offers a restore & renew sugar plum elixir, hair & body mist, bath & shower gel, body lotion, discoloration and hydration cream, and an all-day protection body cream. Products range in price from $18-$45. Each product has natural ingredients, including 100% Sugarcane, derived Squalane, and Plum seed oil.
The line is made up of environment-friendly and sustainable packaging, as well as cruelty-free and vegan products. Products are available in-store and online.
The singer has previously revealed unconventional beauty secrets
Braxton fans know the singer is obsessed with beauty and skincare products and as a woman in her early 50’s, she doesn’t look a day over 25. She admits to struggling with acne for much of her life but finally has it under control. Some fans were stunned when she revealed recently that she uses an unlikely tool as part of her skincare routine.
“It is a vibrator but I call it a face tingler, it tingles the muscles in my face and get it activating and working,” she said in a video while sharing secret beauty tips for Vogue Magazine. She added that she often put it in the freezer to help with muscle activation.
Braxton previously revealed that she uses Uncle Bud’s Rose Gold face mask in her routine. “I promise you I use it every week,” she said. The Uncle Bud’s mask is designed to prevent acne breakouts while the antioxidants provide anti-aging benefits. “Every week I’m putting it on and I love the lip balm. Because girls you know, you gotta have a good lip balm.”
The mask is made from organic hemp seed oil that is infused with Moroccan Rose Water. Braxton also sticks to a healthy diet.
