‘Too Hot to Handle’: Chase DeMoor Doesn’t Play in the NFL Despite Being the ‘Best Hands on TikTok’
Chase DeMoor is living his best life. At 24 years of age, he is a professional football player, social media sensation, and breakout reality TV star.
The Arizona native has been named the “best hands on TikTok,” amassing over two million followers with his football-catching abilities and crazy antics. While DeMoor may have a future in professional football somewhere, many hope he sticks with performing. This guy is definitely entertaining!
Chase DeMoor on ‘Too Hot to Handle’
DeMoor appeared in the second season of the Netflix dating show, Too Hot to Handle. The self-proclaimed “alpha male” made an instant connection with Carly right out of the gate.
Marie Claire reported the football player turned reality star described himself in his intro video by saying, “I’m tall, dark, handsome, muscular, smart, plus being a professional football player does help.”
Despite his undeniable charm and charisma, fans were turned off by how he treated the Canadian model. When he left Carly to hook up with Tabitha, viewers were outraged. DeMoor also turned off viewers with his treatment of his roommate Cam, who was in a relationship with Emily. He alluded to the fact that he was going to steal her away from him, which did not sit well with viewers.
Many fans regarded DeMoor as the “true villain” of season 2. His decision to drop Carly was heartbreaking to watch.
DeMoor does not play in the NFL
DeMoor also always wanted to play in the NFL. At 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds, he is perfect defensive end material, although, Sportskeeda reported the young player made a name for himself as a special teams player who excelled at blocking field goals.
The reality star had an illustrious college football career, playing in two bowl games and earning recognition by the NCAA for the most blocked kicks in 2018. DeMoor played from 2015 to 2017 at the College of Siskiyous in California and then transferred to Central Washington University for his senior year.
Straight out of college, DeMoor tried out for the Seattle Seahawks but didn’t make the team. He signed a contract to play for the Arizona Rattlers, a team in the Indoor Football League. Hoping to attract NFL scouts, he joined the Houston Linemen in the Spring League, a development program for professional football. DeMoor also played for a short time with the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League.
At his current level of play, it is unlikely the reality star will make it onto an NFL team. Sportskeeda confirms, “DeMoor could choose to end his pursuit of an NFL contract and head to Hollywood instead for a career in entertainment.”
DeMoor has amassed a following on social media
Known as King Chase, DeMoor has 2.2 million followers on TikTok. According to Arizona Central, “In his videos, he labels himself as having the ‘best hands on TikTok’ for catching footballs in precarious circumstances, including while doing gymnastics.”
The star of Too Hot to Handle had a rough upbringing, losing his father when he was only 10 years old. His mom remarried, and her new husband was abusive, making his home life unstable. In an interview with NFL Draft Diamonds, DeMoor said, “This was not the way I wanted to live my life, so I worked to make sure I left for college and pursued a college and athletic career.” He said he feels his dad watches over him and that he “will do whatever it takes to me him proud.”
