Travis Scott has been making headlines recently because he and Kylie Jenner are expecting their second child together. He also had a successful night at the MTV Video Music Awards.

But Scott made a glaring omission in his acceptance speech at the awards show, which viewers were quick to notice. Find out what Scott said (or, more importantly, didn’t say) here and how Jenner reacted.

Kylie Jenner is pregnant with her and Travis Scott’s second child together

On Sept. 7, Kylie Jenner posted a video on Instagram revealing that she is pregnant with her and Travis Scott’s second child together.

The video shows a positive pregnancy test, then Scott cradling Jenner’s stomach and smiling. It also shows Scott and Jenner taking Stormi Webster, their firstborn, with them to the doctor for an ultrasound.

The heart-warming video then shows Stormi giving her grandmother Kris Jenner an envelope containing the ultrasound pictures to reveal the pregnancy. The video closes with Stormi kissing her mother’s bare belly and happily saying, “Baby.”

Jenner and Scott’s first child was born on February 1, 2018. Jenner famously did not reveal she was pregnant until after Stormi was already born.

Travis Scott did not thank his pregnant girlfriend at the VMAs

The 2021 MTV Video Music Awards was an eventful night. But all the revelry didn’t distract attendees and viewers from noticing that Scott did not thank Kylie Jenner in his acceptance speech.

30-year-old Scott won the Best Hip-Hop VMA for his song “Franchise” with Young Thug and M.I.A. He beat out fellow artists Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Drake, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Moneybagg Yo, and Polo G for the honor.

Holding the moon person trophy, Scott started listing all the people he wanted to thank. “First, I want to thank God, my mom, Stormi,” Scott began before thanking his label and fans.

But although he thanked his mother and daughter, Scott did not mention Jenner. He wrapped up by saying, “Before I go, I just want to tell you all, love is the biggest thing that we can ever hold. Spread love, and everything will be okay.”

Scott didn’t seem to find it necessary to spread love to his pregnant girlfriend in his acceptance speech.

Kylie Jenner apparently didn’t mind the snub

While the Internet has gone wild, creating memes and videos about Scott neglecting to acknowledge his baby mama in his speech, Kylie Jenner herself seems unbothered by the incident.

According to Hollywood Life, Scott shared a video on his Instagram Stories of an elaborate bouquet of flowers Jenner sent to congratulate him for his win. He posted the video two days after the VMAs.

We know the flowers are from Jenner because he wrote “THANK U 4RM MI 2 LUVS 🦋&⚡️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️” The butterfly refers to Jenner, for whom Scott wrote the song “Butterfly Effect.” He also gave her a $60,000 diamond butterfly necklace (per Seventeen) for her birthday in 2017. The lightning bolt is a reference to his daughter Stormi’s name. Scott also tagged Jenner in the video.

So while the Internet is indignant on Jenner’s behalf, the reality star and beauty entrepreneur doesn’t seem too upset by Scott’s snub. Or maybe she just had a couple of days to get over it.
