Trisha Paytas announced their pregnancy on Valentine’s Day

On Feb. 14, Trisha Paytas took to YouTube — where they have nearly 5 million followers — to announce that they were pregnant. The pregnancy marks the first child for Paytas and their husband, Moses Hacmon. And they said that they were in “disbelief” to learn that they were pregnant.

This is the first child for the couple, who were married in 2021 and had a follow-up New Year’s wedding in Hawaii, per Entertainment Tonight. Many fans were wondering if the marriage was a sham, because Paytas is known for doing “publicity stunts” for YouTube. However, the marriage was ultimately proven to be real. The pair also discovered the pregnancy when they were on their honeymoon for the marriage. Paytas said that the “honeymoon” turned into a “baby moon” when they found out about the pregnancy.

Hacmon is the brother-in-law of fellow YouTube star Ethan Klein. Fans of Paytas’ will recognize Klein’s name, because he and Paytas have a long-documented feud. The feud stemmed from Paytas’s resignation from the popular podcast, “Frenemies,” from which Paytas departed over contract disputes.

Paytas had documented difficulty in getting pregnant

Trisha Paytas made clear that she was surprised about her pregnancy. In 2016, they released a video called “Why I Can’t Have Children.” As of this writing, the video received nearly 3 million views.

The video was very controversial at the time. In the video, Paytas detailed that they’d been rendered infertile because they’d contracted chlamydia. They also said that the chlamydia went undiagnosed for a long time, and because of that, they were unable to get appropriate treatment for the sexually transmitted infection.
